Good Polish Music: disco polo, rock, and club music

Hi,

I accidentally erased a HUGE library of polish music from a friends computer. I would like to get her some new music to try to make up for what I did, but I am not familiar with polish music.

She listens mostly to Disco polo, Rock, and club music. I tried doing some searches, but I don't speak polish and its hard for me to find it on my own. I'm looking for a list of good artists in those genres that I can look up. Any help would be appreciated.

I just listened to 3 songs from a group called Feel, really good ;) "Jest Już Ciemno", "Na Co Cie Stać" and "You May Keep"........

Shhh! Sitting right behind me (although concentrating on Facebook or something) sits someone who does like disco polo. However, anything he plays on his phone at work, someone asks him 'Is this that Polish Europop?' or some such question. I'm trying to persuade him to take part in the Mexican / Disco Polo experiment. Will Mexican music be confused by our other workmates for the dreaded Disco style?

So, tell me all about Ramona Rey... I kept seeing her latest video on Viva when I was in Poland earlier in the week. Funky music... liked it a lot. Any other tunes to listen out for?

Also Feel - brilliant band, and I saw them playing live :) How big are they in Poland?

Yup - the one... sounds similar to nelly Futardo - really edgy. And I love the bit in the middle where the guy is dancing to a completely different tune that sounds lke an ice-cream van gone wrong LOL.

Not the sort of music that I'd usually listen to, but they were brilliant live. And I got to meet them (allbeit briefly) after the gig.

thats the vid chick ... it is quite a funky tune as well not kidding on the ice cream van gone wrong score ... not the usual sort of thing i listen to ... but its different

for Brholte, may I suggest some disco polo artists, like Akcent, Boys, Classic, Cliver, D-Bomb, Milano, Top One, Toples, Viper, Vexel, Focus, Junior, Shazza, Weekend, Time, Amadeo, Mega Dance... And there's also a band from the 80's that I like called Papa Dance.

I almost have 700 disco polo songs! I'm hoping to go to Poland next year and see if I could find any Disco Polo products or concerts!

łhere aare some good groups i am from poland and love polish music. you can get them for emule

here are all the groups i can remember,

boys
yanusz laskowski
stachurski
bajm
sumptuastic
bolter
ciało do chio
biały mewa
you can also search disco polo on emule and get tons of songs

thanks for the the artists (Kasia Lesing i Jamrose). I really like both of them, and they're very interesting...I'm somewhat now into Ivan i Delfin. I'm not quite sure what kind of music they do, but I like their style!
I am trying to learn Polish so I can easily understand what any of the disco polo artists are saying! Muzyka dobry...

I've heard disco polo a few times and I think it's really not so bad. It isn't the sort of thing I would listen to but it has a somewhat nostalgic factor for many poles and ties in to good memories of weddings etc.

I personally love Polish hip hop and I think it's a refreshing change from Uk and worse US hip hop.

p.s. you can find most music on the torrents although I do not advocate piracy!

I legally buy all my music...........
