We are in the process of buying a headstone for a male relative who died recently who was Polish by birth. We are looking to inscribe in both English and Polish and wonder if anyone can give me a selection of Polish epitaphs that we could consider. I have the following but feel I can find something more fitting.

Spoczywaj w spokoju
Prosi o modlitwe
Zdrowas mario
Ave maria

Thanks for any help.

The name of the deceased should be prefaced with
¦P or ¦.P.(¶więtej pamięci -- late lamented), sometimes with a cross in between: ¦+P

Usually the whole thing mght go something like this:

¦P
Jan Kozdroń
1952 - 2009

Spoczywaj w pokoju
Rest in peace
