Today in Poland is Mother-in-Law's Day! Did you think about any special treatments already? Flowers?? :) Happy M-in-L's Day!! :)

Is there or has there ever been a strand of Polish comedy entirely about mothers-in-law? I don't have a mother-in-law, so I'm not entitled to tell any such jokes. I'm of the wrong generation anyway. Household appliances are much funnier anyway. Happy ML day to all you porential mothers-in-law of mine anyway!

i never heard about mother-in-laws day in Poland. since when is it in the calendar???

I thought Mother-in-Law-Day was February 29th (except for leap years)

FIL was ok too. I am not sure of his politics, but in his time here, he helped finish the basement as well as many other home reno projects. He never hesitated to enjoy some wine / wodka / beer. They are both in PL now...

I like mine too - FIL and MIL both. They're in SA though, where they haven't thought of such a day yet. There are enough other days in SA, so I shan't put ideas into anyone's mind ;)

you bet! Mmmmm... don't speak about chops to me though - a really good lamb chop I haven't found in Poland yet. I miss them dearly :( although there are many other things here that I like of course :)

and here it is again.... ;) Znacie ten dowcip: Syn mówi matce, że zakochał się i chce się żenić. Matka na to: „No dobrze, ale muszę ją poznać.” Na co syn zaproponował: „Przyprowadzę trzy kobiety i spróbujesz zgadnąć, którą z nich zamierzam poślubić.” Następnego dnia przyprowadza dziewczyny, a każda piękna i inteligentna. Sadza je na kanapie i rozmawiają chwilę z matką. Potem syn pyta: „Dobrze mamo, a teraz zgadnij, którą zamierzam poślubić.” „Tę w środku” - odpowiada bez wahania. - „Zgadza się. Skąd wiedziałaś?” - „Bo już jej nie lubię”.
