Old song I want to find

piatek   Feb 24, 07, 17:13 /  #
Hi!! I just joined this group! I was looking to find some information on a song my Bushia and Dzaidzai (did I spell that right??) used to sing to me when I was little.
It's something like "madena, mandena, something pierogi, something something, kay om ye um ye." LOL!! I'm sorry I don't remember much of it, unfortunately. I do remember it's about newlyweds and the husband comes home and complains to his new wife that there's no pierogi waiting for him.

Anyway, I know it's a longshot, but I'd love to find the whole song, so I can sing it to my daughter.

Well if it's sung in Polish and the song is about Pierogi, I seriously doubt its an African song.
Thanks though!

piatek, I wish I could help, but it does not ring the bell. Maybe someone in you family remembers more? I really don't think there is a kiddy song about pierogi or one in general...

I don't mean to be mean or anything, but that looks like it's just been through an online translator. Gotuj hasn't been translated into cook or boil. Flour would be for the dough, and so on. Is Maæku "mother" in diminutive vocative form?
gumishu   Mar 29, 09, 15:04 /  #
Maæku is vocative of Maciek (dim. of Maciej and used in normal speech while Maciej is formal)
