When I see you, O Poland...
I see you stand strong...
I see you firm..
A sign of righteous against all wrong....

When I feel you, O Poland...
I feel your tender touch...
I feel the protection...
I feel the love so much...

When I hear you, O Poland...
I hear the winds speak...
I hear the breeze whishper...
I hear the flowing river's songs...
I hear them say O Poland... YOU ARE THE RIGHTEOUS OVER ALL WRONGS!

The Land of its people...the land of peace...
The Land of Spring, Summer & Winters mild or peak...
The Land of hope, and the land of love...
The Land of trees, forests, fields and the settling dove...

When your leaves touch my forehead...
I feel my mother's care...
When your tree gives me shelter...
I feel being in my father's sphere...

I tell you, O Poland...
You will remain eternal...
A land of the kind, a land which washes away despair...
You are the land of the farmer...a hand which feeds..
You are mine O Poland... you are for them who have love in their speak!

Terre de liberté,
Terre qui a saigné,
Terre qui s'est battue,
Terre qui a vaincu.

Au milieu de tant d'ennemis,
Ton peuple a souffert,

Polson.

A little shorter than yours, LTB, it took me 10 minutes to write it ;)

A Dubious Poem.

The lakes in summer
People sailing
The lakes in winter
Frozen over

The cities and towns
Growing fast
The cities and towns
Beautiful squares

The mountains to the east
Tall and mighty
The mountains to the west
Gentle and calm

The Baltic Sea
For fun
The Baltic Sea
For amber

The history of Poland
Strength and hope
The history of Poland
Relates my past

Farms and villages
Too few cows
Farms and villages
In need of help

Tracing the path of a
New dawn
Hopeful eyes watch shielded
by dirt covered fingers
Change tempts that fickle breeze
Chills to the bone
Fair winds.

The Might of Ages
The right of Sages
The Pride of the Devine Hand....
Its My Poland... its my Poland... its my Blessed Land...its my Poland!...

The Sword of Power
The Power of Truth
The Eyes of Kindness
The Language of the Youth!
The Words of Change...
The tide of Love
The Nation of Nations...
Blessed from up above....

Its the land of beauty...the land of hope...
Its my blessed land...blessed are every sand....
Its my Poland... its my Poland...its my Poland.......its, my ~Poland~....

A nation of torches
A nation of rivers
A vision of wisdom
A flow of love's believers...

A nation of today...
A nation of the farmer...
A nation that welcomes...
A nation whose greets are warmer...

A nation which is yourse...
If you are for its love...
A nation, O my Poland, exalted by up above!

Not bad M but using game instead of nation means that the second line loses its Foyle like Gulliver without his mini golf. :)

didnt develop a tune yet

All words have their own tune mate you just have to let the music sing to you. Don't believe it?
Try saying the first lines of your poem like a Dalek. :)

A nation of torches
A nation of rivers

Now say it again but in your own voice. See how when you say it normally it finds its own melody?

And if I may take your words and develop them. Indulge my presumptiveness mate it's just an exercise. :)

Beacons burning brightly
Shimmer on cascading beauty
Sparkle on wise eyes
Those that love Poland.

edit: forgot my smilies

Under the wide sky, a bed of roses
Thats you, O Poland
Over the bed of roses, a patch of clouds
Thats you, O Poland...

Your face is ... my hearts desire,
Your truth takes ... my dreams go higher ...
Your tender smile, which I see scattered throughout...
Through trees, through branches, through leaves and in the sprout...
Lights dance through them, creating the rhythm every way...
O Poland... That how you begin a wonderful day..

O Poland... thats how.... you begin.... all..........your day.

"Englishmen, you're all so fuc*ing pompous, and none of you have got any balls. "

I know the majority of you are not English here but this quote sprang up in my mind the minute I read your poems :) hahaha

I'm not trying to accuse you of having no balls though... But you are extremely pompous indeed :D

That's what we call a crude poem, LOL. No mention of Scotsmen there. We have balls, trust me ;)

But I am a Pole :D... I wish to make my English better than the Englishmen (I actually feel like their english is poor).

Are my poems that bad :( ?

But these are not only poems...but they have tunes too....which i play on my guitar....so these are songs aswell.

I've never been an expert on poetry. I've never liked poetry, actually...
Dunno if your poems are bad, they're just pompous to the limit ;)

Yet poetry is the window on the soul
Without such verse you cannot be whole
So before your next cup of coffee is over
Make sure you read some Keats dear Jova

I have just graduated from so called "filologia angielska", thus, solely for that reason, you can be more than sure I have read loads of Keats, Pope, Gray, Wordsworth et al. However, I've not been converted to a poetry lover... Seems I'm insolently stubborn.

And yet it seems to have filled your writing to the core with ripeness in that sweet kernel of a line. :)

not converted to a poetry lover

lol

We've all been there yep.
'You can stand by the cyder press with your patient looks all you want I still don't like it. <courage summoning pause> It's nonsense.' Folded arms bracing to reap the whirlwind.
'Mum and Dad have been Larkin around' he'd say coldly. My old Professor used to like to blame the parents for our lack of love for the classics.
It was pointless to argue of course.
'I'm not f**ked up' didn't sway him nor did 'It doesn't make any sense.' Piercing cobalt eyes pitied you as his distant voice oozed 'They don't mean to of course but they do. That and X Boxes of course. Extra just for you.'

Ode to Pantoflarz

hej pantoflarze
juz ja wam pokaze
pf to nie raj
dla chlopow bez jaj
tak wiem, nie masz jaj
daj zyc ludziom, daj
juz nie mecz i nie klnij
na ziemi ukleknij
i przepros w pokorze
jak dziac to sie moze
ze gnebisz tak ludzi
probujesz sie ludzic
ze masz tu przewage
ze zwracasz uwage
i ze masz gadane
nie ludz sie kochany
jak bedziesz sie rzucac, no to niestety
dostaniesz wpierdol od swojej kobiety
