Poland before 1939

How to show best esprit and vivid culture and life of Poland before a war? I think some of it is preserved in popular songs and music of the times. What is your opinion? Ironside: What is your opinion? I don`t like this music. Unnerves me too much. Slow and shrill. I prefer songs which came into being a few years later, in 1944. Did you hear this one?
