Could anybody tell me about the drinking culture in Poland? What age
groups or demographics drink certain types of vodka? Do you know
anything about vodka production in Poland? Is it a good country to
manufacture vodka? Is the industry growing? What countries compete with Poland in the vodka industry?

If anybody could tell me anything related to Poland and vodka that would
be awesome. I been doing a ton of research already and some first hand
words of wisdom would be helpful.

It's typically drunk by older people when eating a hearty meal. Shots are preferred, it's not a sipping drink like whisky is. It can be triple distilled here which raises the quality of it.

Holland, Finland, Sweden and Russia compete with Poland.

No one competes with Russia for drinking culture (48% of adult males die by alcohol-related deaths in Russia.)
I think Poland's vodka days are waning and beer is now the drink of choice.

Poland still guards its vodka traditions vehemently. They want to EU to regulate it, and declare that vodka can only be made from grains and potatoes (meaning that vodkas like Ciroc will no longer be able to be sold labeled as vodka.)

That's a nice piece of history in a tone of communist propaganda ( but jokingly ) about polish vodka in the times of communism.. but unfortunately it's in polish ( well at least you can get some pictures )

There's a moment when the lector is saying that in times of communism when there was no money and you could only get food and other goods for food cards a persons monthly ration of vodka was half a liter a month and at one moment around 5 millions of poles were alcoholics.

The whole document is about "legendary" vodka with a red label / "sheet of paper" or "wódka z czerwoną kartką". There's a vodka by the same name produced by polmos right now, but it's only a marketing trick. ( And it's awful from what I remember )

Polish drinking habits

I was curious, what are the general drinking habits for the youth and middle aged. How do alcohol companies advertise with all the marketing restrictions.

A country of drunks. that's Poland guys. There nothing to do, the staff to feed the children is a good example how crazy Polish people are for alcol. That a national tragedy. Often you can see in the streets people who are not even able to stay stand because of the alcol. People without dignity, useless people. Unfortunaely in Poland drinking is perceived as normal. Who drinks is normal who doesn't is a freak. What miserable country. Nothing to offer, just this cans and bottle left in the street from this people. Such a misery...But that's the culture in Poland, the deep culture of drinking.

Poles drink less than average in EU. People in countries like Spain and France drink much more.

The truth is over rated. It is easier and more fun to propogate a bunch of lies.

Indiwiduals,
The time has come to set the straight wersion
of the story that dewious vodkas companies,
liquor stores, bartenders
and misinformed friends hawe been prepetuating.
The authentic drink, inwented in Poland, is called Wodka.
Not vodka. There is no V in Wodka.
The vodka cartel has conweniently glossed ower
the simple fact that there is no V in wodka.
But history is on our side, and vodka cannot refute
the incontrowertible authenticity of history.
If you hawe been misled, do not feel like a wictim.
Be empowered; turn rage into actiwism,
and rewel in the support of 36 million Polish people.
And together, through non-wiolent protest, we shall bring
dignity to wodka and wodka drinkers ewerywhere.
We shall hawe our rewenge,
we will prewail and will be windicated.
Welcome to the Wodka Mowement.

The statistics for alcohol consumption in Poland are based on liquor sales, what is not included in how much moonshine "bimber" or "samogon" is drank in Poland, low income families not just in the country side but also in the city very often make it themselves, or buy it at a market from Poles or our eastern neighbors bringing it to Poland.

I was going to post here complaining about how alcohol makes for the most prominent topic, absolutely ignoring blatant repetition, in the Culture boards, but then I noticed the empty beer bottles next to my keyboard. Dammit.
