hello
have you noticed that we, poles, are trained to spend large amounts of money without hesistation?

let me explain: let's say Poland is normal, economically independent country. Let's compare it to UK.
In UK you can earn easily ~1500L a month. Similar in Poland - you can earn 1500zl a month (easily, now it's like 3000zl). So, following this path of thinking, if shoes cost 40L in uk, they should cost 40zl in Poland (multiply it by 2 to get better est - 80zl). They same with everything else.
Instead, in Poland we spend 300zl for shoes without hesistation. We got used to the fact, that 100zl is a small amount ( and it's 3.3% of our salary!). WTF?

I learned one thing since I am here in UK - in most cases of buying small things, 40L is a limit, if something costs more than that, I should reconsider. If I buy something that cost more than 100L, I think about it for few days.
In Poland I wouldnt hesistate up to 500zl (if my balance would allow me to buy it and I would really need it).
Last time I was in Poland, I was looking for a gift and I saw statuette (?) for 150zl. I thought that they are crazy, nobody would buy it in uk for 75L.

I understand the relation when we are talking abut hi-tech stuff or well known brands - it's money exchange rates. But what about processed foods? The crop grows the same - you plant it and it grows. Similar with cows - you give them grass and they produce milk.
Price of oil?

Do you think I am right?
