Do Poles work better when they drink or when they are sober?

A friend of mine told me about an excellent polish emplyee he had who did phantastic craftwork only when he was drinking.When he did not drink,he could not work at all.
Other Poles he knew appeared to be the same and never got drunk despite heavy drinking.So maybe it is better for an employer to let them drink or not?

Depends on what line of work they are in...

I would rather not employ a Polish man who would be drinking on the job, at a construction site, for example...

A lot of what I do at work could be described as just chatting, having a laugh and taking it easy. A small amount of alcohol could then, be beneficent, especially considering that when some drink has been taken, my Polish language skills increase slightly. Seeing the way my Polish friends drink, a small amount of alcohol is not much of an option. I would therefore choose to say that no alcohol at all would be better than too much alcohol.

That may actually work to the benefit of an employer. Especially when the workers fall down from the scaffold a day before payday ;)

My father just put down new hardwood floors. When he started he was sober and when he finished he was drunk... I think next time he does work around the house I should just get him wasted beforehand... his work is wayyy better.

When I'm doing physical labour I find that I work better while I'm drinking beer, but only in the summer. Last year I helped a friend build a fence in his backyard, we drank throughout the whole construction - not too much, 1-2 beers per hour max. I was highly motivated and had a great time. And YES the fence was built straight and I predict that it will easily stand strong for next two decades:)
