Polish inventor - Jacek Karpiński

Jacek Karpiński as a soldier of elite underground AK battalion "Zoska" during Warsaw Uprising in 1944 was awarded three times Krzyż Walecznych( KW is equivalent to American Distinguished Service Cross). In 1973 he constructed first (and only I think) Polish PC. Soviet government in Poland denied him right to produce it or even work on it. He become a farmer but eventually emigrated to Switzerland, where he invented Pen-Reader. If not for Soviet stupidity they could actually win the Cold War - good for Poland - I think.
