Polish movies successful at international film festivals

Three Polish films have recently received awards at international festivals. "We're Going To The Movies Tomorrow' ("Jutro idziemy do kina"), a feature film by Michal Kwiecinski and a documentary "Ada's Gallery" ("Galeria Ady") by Uadzimir Kolasa won the Prix Europa 2008 Award in Berlin while "Four Nights With Anna" ("Cztery noce z Anna") by Polish director Jerzy Skolimowski received the Special Award at the International Film Festival in Tokyo.

Anybody knows anything about polish film festival in Santa Monica(Los Angeles)!!!
I think there was kind of party 2-3 years ago in May.
Or... other polish parties/holidays in Southern California area

Wajda the trend setter in cinematograph

Andrzej Wajda has received the Alfred Bauer Award at the Berlinale Film Festival.

The prestigious prize for merited trend setters in cinematography has been granted Wajda for his film ‘Tatarak’, or ‘Sweet Rush’ in a rough English translation.
