Simon Karczmar...the polish painter

I just acquired a painting of Karczmar's and I was wondering if it was worth anything, and if anyone knew a way I could find out. I also would appreciate any general information on S. Karczmar. Thank you. first post

Try to contact them. They deal in art. Buy, sell, trade. rogallery.com/default.htm Simon Karczmar, painter. b. 1903, Warsaw, Poland. Lived in France 20 years, where he studied. Immigrated to Israel 1962 and joined Artists' Quarter in Safed. Represented Israel at exhibitions in Mexico, Canada, U.S.A. and Europe. His themes are mainly Jews in Eastern Europe.

I too have a Karczmar ( Wedding Scene) I don't think he was a major artist - he did live and exhibit in Safed (Zfat)
