Valkyrie movie - have you been in Wilczy Szaniec???

Valkyrie - german assassins tried to kill Hitler in "Wilczy Szaniec" (Wolfschanze). This place is in Mazury near Kętrzyn and Węgorzewo, did you know that.
I lived about 30-40 mins driving by car from this place. Now this place is open for tourists, complex of damaged bunkers.
I think it's worth to see, especially when you're visiting Poland, and Mazury :),

I've been there four or five times over the last 12 years. Very interesting place.

Did you know that the former barracks over what used to be the garage (now the restaurant) has been converted into a low-standard hotel and so it is possible to spend the night inside the complex?

I didn't know!! I was there pretty long time ago. I'm not sure about spending nights there!!! It's in the middle forest and swamps. A lot of mosquitoes Grrrr... I hate it

Yep... take your Mosquito repellent.

It is interesting but it is pretty well destroyed and is largely a collection of demolished blocks. It's not like you can walk down into the bunker.
