Sick of Polish clubs never making it to European cups group phases?
Tired of the national team being so 'average', NO world class players, for a country who's got 40 million people!!
Sad that Poland will probably not make it to the World Cup in 2010?!
...

Then join the protest!
Please add your 'signature' (nick and email, that's it) to this site: http://www.koniecpzpn.pl/
Or here.

Things can change. Let's make a revolution! ;)

Currently, the protest has received 88615 voices! Be part of us!

Don't be so pessimistic. PZPN guys have to hear people's voices. We can't be happy with what's happening. A country like Poland deserves better.
The main aim of this is to make some pressure on those guys who make big money for nothing (okay, almost nothing).
We are not sheep (sorry, Seanus), we have the right to show our disappointment.

they only lose all the games because they get paid more in bribes for losing rather than for winning

That doesn't explain the lack of world class players. Even Belarus have one 'star' in their national team (Hleb) and a club playing a European cup (Bate Borisov).
Don't even want to compare with the Czechs...

At the last count:
the protest had received 88615 voices!

Now: 145,155 voices!

Poland will probably play in an empty stadium tonight in Chorzów, as most of the fans won't go, and also because of the snow that is falling... ;)

Lots of people will go, not everyone uses internet.. but it's nice that there's somebody doing something. I can't look at those faces on the telly, those PZPN scoundrels. I wish if goverment could just close the whole organisation and rebuild it completely..

Lots of people will go

Dont expect more than 5000 fans tonight.
PZPN member Gren has already resigned. BZWBK said protest would end a sponsorship deal with Poland team...

I agree, things must change. I'm so disappointed Poland won't be part of the World Cup, but at the same time not really surprised. It had to happen one day or another.

Maybe not even 4000, we'll see.

i thought loyalty in adversity was one of Polish people's main qualities - so why are you turning your back on your team after a few bad results ?

And what do you expect ? you made 3 of the last 4 big tournaments, and yes you played pretty crap when the tournament started but surely you are not expecting to win it ?

Loyalty in adversity is international when it comes to the Olympics. Research has shown that to be true. When their team has been knocked out, they go to their second team. In my case, Ireland, but I guess soon to be Poland as marriage will change that.

If Poles desert their team, it won't look good.

The protest is against the PZPN, Polish football federation, not the team (well...).
The problem is not really the Polish national team, it's the ENTIRE Polish football!
That protest shows that they are actually great fans ;) Wanting their team(s) (national and clubs) to be better than they are now.

Good games in qualifications, crappy games in great tournaments.
It may be a bit frustrating for some of us ;)
There's a 'small' difference between winning a tournament and winning a game.

nothing to do with the protest. more to do with the weather and the fact that Poland surrendered before kick-off. i doubt you'll find many who watched it on tv either.
when Poland lose... viewers switch channels. when they don't qualify... very few are interested at all.

173,000 persons signed (on koniecpzpn.pl) so far.
3,000 fans in Chorzow last night, most of them were Slovakians.
I beg to differ, Wroclaw. People are not indifferent with what's happening.

It is well known that PZPN spend about 30% of its budget on administrative costs!!

in 2008 the budget was 74 million zł., about 22 million went for admin costs, that's 30%

how much did they spend on training new coaches? 200,000 zł!!
and how much did they spend on junior tournaments? 500,000 zł!!

sport.pl/pilka/1,95644,6445652,PZPN_przejada_30_proc__wlasnego_budzetu .html

The protest is against PZPN (incompetent moneygrabbers) and its not clear connection with private companys etc

a little more:

http://www.polskieradio.pl/thenews/sport/artykul118077_it_was_bad_weat her__not_a_boycott.html

Websites protesting against the PZPN continue to mushroom - added to koniecpzpn.pl there is now latomusiodejsc.pl and fifauefa.pl.

On fifauefa.pl it says that “Three hundred coaches, players, PZPN officials have been arrested in Wroclaw [where a corruption investigation is based]”. There is also a letter to FIFA president Sep Blater and UEFA president Muchel Platini, which urges the governing bodies to help urgently replace people in charge of the PZPN.
