A bit of bright news for Polish sport. Poland beat Great Britain 3-2 in the Davis Cup and thus relegate GB

Only because there's just Murray in the GB team i'm afraid. Polish team has a good double team, but apart from that, Janowicz is talented but still very young, and the others are quite bad ranked.

But still, it's a good result ;)

At 302, Evans who lost both his rubbers is ranked nearly 400 places higher than Przysiezny. I know Evans only played because of illness/injury to other players, but I believe he's ranked no.5 in Britain so you'd expect him to beat someone so much lower in the world rankings.

Having said that I think Przysiezny was ranked about 150 before a knee injury put him out of the game for a while.

GB are now relegated to the third tier of world tennis - I wonder where England, Scotland etc would be if it wasn't a combined home nations team ?

Anyway, congratulations for a good Polish win :o)

Yeah, he was good, the English commentator said so.

Polanglik:
Evans

He's still young, 19, and possibly didn't stand the pressure.
In our French Fed Cup team, we have Alizé Cornet, which is a very good player...other than in Fed Cup of course ;)

England? Probably even worse. Without Murray (Scotland), what would England do? It's sad to say but English tennis is kinda dead. Or let's say 'sleeping'.
Actually there are good young players, especially girls. We'll see.

Imagine a GB football team?... What ya think? ;)
