I can honestly say, this is the worst loss in modern history, for the Bialo Czerwoni.. I cannot remember as horrible of a performance as today against Northern Ireland...
Northern Ireland, with all due respect, is not a even a middle tier team, and they didn't play well at all today... They didn't deserve to win..

What was it, 2 shots? 2 goals, plus an own goal by Zewlakow , if u can call it that..
thanks Boruc...

But, thats only a testament to how poor the Poles were today.. good God.. I was taking some pulls from a bottle of Sobieski during the last 20 minutes, and now I am drunk and angry.. if I had Boruc in front of me, I'd give em a punch right in the teeth... that son of a bitch!
how can you get that rattled by a fecking crowd! are these guys pro's or not??
Beenhaker ,fix this team's mentality, or you're gone, you old fart!

I haven't seen Poland play since Euro 2008, but to be fair, they were the worst team in the tournament by a country mile.

England lost to NI a few years back and it was very embarrassing. I feel your pain.

Tournaments havn't been a strong part of the Polish NT since the 70's and 80's... thats no surprise. It was between them and Austria, for worst team in the tournie..

What you did not notice was the work rate of the Irish team, every man covered every blade of grass. When International teams come to Belfast they are simply not allowed to play their game. Big teams that have beaten there in the last 3 years include England and Euro champions Spain. I don't think that any neutral watching the game would say NI didn't deserve to get anything from it.

Filios if you look at the new Provisional FIFA rankings for next month you will see that this so-called "not even middle tier team" that you refer to is one place above polska.

Artur borat , forgive me for saying it but couldn't have happened to a nicer fellow.

It's nice to be on top of the group again. We will send you's a postcard from South Africa, lol.

Poland isn't a good team, whatsoever, out of form and with a coach who doesn't give a flying fu%k about the team anymore to boot, but we'll still finish ahead of your Northern Irish ass! See you in Poland in September, if you have the guts to come watch.

Filios I know a 13 year old girl and her 11 year old sister who live in that area. They both have to change their school uniforms to walk home because they go to a catholic school. Do you think more trouble with Polish thugs will make their life easier? You like I want them to hold their heads high and be proud of their lone mother (who has two jobs and depression), their country of birth and themselves. Who is going to protect them, some drunken thugs from elsewhere? This is real life.

Drunken thugs or not, if some of that NI gang comes over to Poland in September thinking to stirr up trouble, I hope they aren't too disappointed when they get their faces kicked in!

Filios1, that is stupid talk.
You are not normally so wantonly disrespectful and destructive.
It is tragic what is happening and this type of bravado does not help anyone.

One side says that Polish Hooligans are bad another says they are good.

Well they are certainly not bad. The Polish Hooligans fight each other. Since they fight each other they do not affect society as much as they would if they were individualy roaming the streets. Think how much more damage they would do if they focused their attention to messing up their own people. By preoccupying themselves with fanatical soccer support they in essence are avoiding harming society. To attend the soccer matches these guys work , sell all they have, attend matches, Hooliganis be crazy over their team, and than go back to work (the cycle repeats). Not to mention its always good to see the Polish fans be so nationalistic and united against other countries in the mode of football. Just cause you guys dont like the feeling or dont support such things just shows your getting old, are sad, or never have been to one of these games.

So I agree with filio's we will give these guys a nice welcoming party, especially if any english assholes attempt to start shit with the poles. (always happens and Poles always woop their asses)

anyways as long as hooligans stay within football than it is ok. If the hooligans become gangs than that could be a problem (this is most certainly not the case in most instances)

Peace

So anyone wearting an English/Northern Irish/Scvopttish/Irish scarf will be a target if the crap starts flying?

The fact you are talking about NI fans and then say "English" suggests the average bonehead chuligan (Irish word, interestingly enough) wouldn't know the difference (or care).

The average Pole doesnt know the difference, nevermind the average bonehead. I cant count the number of times I have been mistaken for an english person in Poland, not only that but 90% of Poles dont know there difference between NIreland and The Republic or indeed anything about Irish history.

Your a disgrace

Northern Ireland arent a good team, but then again neither are Poland. In fairness though, Northern Ireland did deserve to win and their workrate was phenomenal. Poland arent considered a good team by any standards, indeed most countries would love to have them in their group....but any team is capable of beating anyone on a good day and I have seen a few good performances by Poland over the recent campaign.

Filios1:

You are an idiot, and even suggesting that you are looking forward to mindless dopes / thugs intimidating a minority of idiots at a football match has lost you all credibility here. The true Northern Ireland football fans shouldnt feel fear attending a match in Poland, and its people like you who are an embarrassment to Poland and football, just like the thugs who started trouble at the NI match. While eliments on both sides of supporters there were a disgrace, what travelling fans decide to start trouble in an area of the world where you can get your knee caps blown off because of a surname, they are lucky to be alive . . . idiots

I think Poland need a Polish manager who has that polska spirit, not a dutch guy who speaks in English. Why hasn't Beenhaker learn't Polish?....Bring in Gregorz Lato! someone who can motivate them not deflate them!

I have absolutely no problem with hooligans knocking each other's heads off.
I live in Krakow it happens quite often, as you know.
But this is not just about hooligans, this is about families houses being attacked.

What happened in N.Ireland is not "normal hooliganism" read Here (click here) Polish version or Here (click here) for badly translated English version

Why do they have to be such morons though? There are plenty of other sports, Rugby for example' which isn't filled with idiots who feel they have to kick the crap out of other supporters to show their loyalty.

Football got hijacked by the media machine and the hooligans many years ago. All it does these days is make money and give low class morons some kind of meaning in their lives.

Fortunately Mr B, we dont have a fraction of the problems we had years ago, it just isn't cool to be a holligan anymore :) Also most of the "hard core" are monitored so dont get the opportunity to cause problems abroad - of course there are still a few maniacs that slip through!

Northern Ireland defeated Spain 3-2 in a qualifier for Euro 2008,
after that we are the best :)

So do you think it's OK for drunken Poles to go there and start trouble. Are you surprised that some of the NI crowd (and anyone else who might want an excuse) might hop on a plane to Polska?

Then it'll be Poles and NI slugging it out in other places in Europe who have never asked for this cr@p.

Did you get picked last at school ;)

In all seriousness, hooliganism is blight on football and reflects badly on the honest fan. Incidentally, there was a newsnight special about Hillsborough last night and it reminded me of all the sh1t that happened in the 1980's (Heysel etc.). Passion is one thing, mindless violence is another.

Huge steps have been taken in recent years to crack down on this sort of thing, and it has largely been a success, but there will always be morons who use football as an excuse to fulfill their pathetic urges.

Although i have little experience of it, the problem seems quite big in Poland. This is worrying given that the location of Euro 2012. English fans will be there (hopefully) and they are a prime target for fans of other nations due to their rather bad (and deserved) reputation.

Thankfully, you very rarely see it in the English domestic game.
