Big Paddy:
I can assure everyone that the moron's on here threatening that they are gonna do this and that when they come to Poland in September will be nowhere near Poland .

I say this because as well as going to all home games i have been travelling to most away games with Northern Ireland for many years and such a hooligan element simply doesn't exist in our ranks (nor would it be tolerated), it's very easy to sit at home and become a keyboard warrior (just like filios) but it's another thing to actually go to Poland (or Belfast) and actually confront the people who you are threatening, i notice for all his mouthing the self proclaimed hard man that is Filios was nowhere to be seen in Belfast last week.

Exactly like idiot's who come on here shouting about paramilitary groups and what they are gonna do in September. Pathetic. If you really want a fight why don't you arrange a private fight with Filios and his idiot friend's for September instead of shaming Real fans with your stupid talk.

I guarantee that 99.9% of the hard talk it is all just hot air. I also think the game will pass of largely peacefull, from what i have see on the net there is possably no better police force in the world to deal with this, after all it's not as if they don't have enough expertise in dealing with this type of ( what has now become a ) high profile game.

I will be in Poland for the game and i look forward to it watching Northern Ireland put another few goals past Borat.

Well said !

Is that fan appreciation day? Sure, I'd come. I'd bring some of my mates from my younger days. Any one of us would kick the **** out of you in a fair fight.
No hatchets knives or bats.

Err... no thats not how it works. Knives, guns, bombs, bricks and Petrol bombs are the tools of Belfast rioters. You want sectarian war, you will get the whole hog.

I suppose being a moron, you didn't realise how serious sectarian hatred is, another thing, nobody ever forgets. Not in 400 years...

Well as far as i'm concerned it was a good result for the home nations, aswell as showing up the big 'holes' in the 'holy goalies' arsenal :) As a rangers fan i can stand and smile to myself :):):) its not exactly the first time Boruc has made himself look stupid in goal.

As for all the violence after, well we all know what that was about really, a bit of religion and bad losers me thinks :)

Henry McDonald The Guardian,

Friday 10 April 2009

Local units of the two main loyalist terror organisations in Northern Ireland were behind events that have seen 40 Polish migrant workers flee in recent weeks, the Guardian has learned.

Members of the Ulster Volunteer Force and the Ulster Defence Association in south Belfast organised the intimidation of the Poles over the past fortnight, security sources in the city said.

The attacks on Polish homes in south Belfast were believed to be in response to an outbreak of hooliganism by soccer fans from Poland during last month's World Cup qualifier at Windsor Park.

Before the crucial Northern Ireland versus Poland match in Belfast on March 28, a group of Polish hooligans smashed up pubs and attacked local fans.

The Police Service of Northern Ireland released figures yesterday revealing that in the aftermath of the soccer violence at least 40 Polish nationals had to flee their homes in the south of the city.

I can honestly say, this is the worst loss in modern history, for the Bialo Czerwoni.. I cannot remember as horrible of a performance as today against Northern Ireland...
Northern Ireland, with all due respect, is not a even a middle tier team, and they didn't play well at all today... They didn't deserve to win..

Have a read at the new Fifa world rankings Filios we are 27th in the world hardly middle tier but perhaps Poland are.

Northern Ireland gained 15 places (previously 42) WOW.

It was no shame for Poland to lose to Northern Ireland because in the past few years teams like England 1-0 , Denmark, 2-1 Sweden 2-1 and even the current European Champions Spain 3-2 have lost at Windsor park . Northern Ireland have some good players but the main thing is they all give 100% effort on the pitch and play as a unit. Its to their credit that a team representing a county with a population of 1.7 million are top of their Qualification group.

This can't be the case surely, according to IrishDeano he has the inside scoop, it was Northern Ireland fans who did it, he apparently knows this for sure because "his mates told him".

As i said before Deano, never worry about letting the truth get in the way of a good story.

They played a great game for the entire second half, not enough shots on goal. But they pretty much gave it away in the first. No need for that loss, and no need for their playing in the first half. Team is pathetic.

Poland are frustrating to watch. They are brimming with potential and produce really slick play at times but there seems to be lethargy and lack of hunger. Kinda sums up many Poles I know.

I dunno about stoned ;) Poland can draw level with NI with a win in Slovenia on Wed. Slovenia, at home, will be chasing the win too. They can also draw level with NI.

Polskamann " Revenge today" ....................

Not quite Polskamann. lol

I just got home from the game 4 hours ago after many long bus journey's and flights but it was worth it.

I had a great time in Poland and seen many nice people (Polska fans) and i did not see 1 hooligan idiot the whole time i was there, just true football fans.

I know you guys will not be happy with that result but then again neither are we, i think we made the best chances of the match (albeit fewer in numbers) but Poland faced a very strong defensive unit last night, i do think we worked just a little bit harder than Poland but a draw was possably a fair result in the end ? Who know's !

Anyway, all the guys i was with had a great time in Poland and we wouldn't have missed it for the world.

Let's hope both of us can now go and beat the slovak's .

trip to Polska.

Looks like youz had a great time.
I would like to hear what you think about Poland after having been here?
What you expected before you came and what you found while you were here.

It is good you came and saw for yourself the good people of Poland.

Perhaps you could put a few of your photos in the PF photo competition

Sean i loved Poland (even though i was only there a short time) & the fans we met were just like us, ordinary decent people. They gave us a tremendous welcome and this showed us that the big majority of the Polski fans are not hooligans (unlike a lot of the ones who came to Belfast) & i would like think that the Polish people who met us can see now that our fans are nothing like the mindless paramilitary idiot's who attacked Polish property after the riots in Belfast.

At the end of the day it is true that we both have morons in our own countries to contend with but when REAL football fans come together it is always the same story, they drink & get drunk then they sing some songs together and go to the game to support their team, as long as we have a common love of the game and share that with each other then i am sure that the hooligan idiot's will always remain confined to the shadow's (where they belong). In fact 90% of fans in and around the stadium waved at our buses with only very few making insulting gestures, i think most (if not all) NI fans left Poland with better thought's of the Poles than before they arrived.

I have quite a few Polski friends in my workplace so i understand the Polish thinking maybe a bit better than most people in NI so i expected a warm welcome however the one that we received was excellent.

Special thanks goes to the Polish Police for providing us with very good security on the day to keep away the knuckle dragger's.

I am sure i will return to Poland in the not to distant future for a short break, i have a good friend from Wroclaw & she say's it is a city beautiful, and i also hear Krakow is the dog bollox. Which reminds me, some friends of mine stayed in Krakow at the weekend and they said that the local people could not have been more welcoming, they (my friends) loved the city and the people & i am sure it had nothing to do with the "beautiful Krakow women & cheap beer" . lol

The hooligans might have won the day in Belfast but the TRUE fans (from both sides) won the day in Poland .
