they have already moved it 2 weeks, which is nothing...but move it to when??

Truthfully, I don't know the answer to that. If it was moved to September/October what would the weather be like then?

King Sobieski:
anuary, February and some of March are our hottest time of the year, then it gets cooler but also a lot more chance of rain. no easy solution.

No easy solution, that's true.

september/october can be seasonal, can be quite warm at times but also rain at the drop of a hat. melbourne is famous for having 4 seasons in one day, crowded house actually wrote a song about it.

i dont know much about the grand slam dates and whether that time would fit in with all the tour matches.

interesting that they did have the olympics in our early spring in 2000 and not in summer like other olympics.

The US Open is usually held August or September so I suppose they would be close in date but then the French and Wimbledon are too.

It would be nice to see them think about moving it because of the heat.

Obviously you know Melbourne better than me so if you say November then that's what we'll go with. :) Now to campaign. If only they would listen... :)

hopefully i know melbourne better than you living here.....

we will need a lot of $$$$$'s....but less warmth means less skimpy tennis outfits which could mean trouble crowd wise.

Ah crowd trouble. No, we don't need any more of that. At Wimbledon they wear skimpy outfits even though it's practically guaranteed to rain. :)
