Who should be my favourite Polish league football team?

I'm an Englishman who is shortly to start a new life in Kędzierzyn-Kozle, and with something of a dilemma: namely, which local football team do I support? Frankly, it's an issue that must be resolved soon, so I hoping readers of this forum can help me out with some recommendations, the only limits being that the club should be a professional outfit and based within 100 kilometres of K-K.

I want to support a club with a story to tell and fervent fans who like to make a noise. If the club is succesful (my team in England has been very poor for the past 15 years), so much the better.

I looked at a map, found my first flat in Krakow and picked the team closest to that. So I am now officially a Wisła fan.

Anyone want a fight?

You gotta choose Ruch chorzow. The story they tell is they are the most successful team in Poland, domestically speaking....as far as I believe they have 14 championships, the most of any team and ok they aren't seetig the heather on fire now but there will be a shakeup close season and the coach is getting the punt so interesting times ahead. Perhaps their poor showing this year was partly to do with the fact they were playing in the national stadium and not at their own ground due to redevelopment, this meant a half empty stadium at most 'home' games :0) p.s. I'm a scotsman and the reasons I support them are simple........... a)they are my girlfriends hometown team b)they are the closest team to my flat and lastly c) their nickname is Niebiescy meaning The Blues, and given I'm a Glasgow Rangers fan it fits nicely!

They were literally about 3mm on the map further away than Wisła, then I met a mate (very good mate now) wha happened to be a Wisła fan...so it stuck.

don't you think that you should follow the season to decide yourself?
but on the other hand, i recommend, Wisla Krakow, it's not too far from where you live, they're loud and they are the PL champions...
