Hey all,

I know that Ryan Air are offering really cheap flights to the uk from gdansk. Has anyone flew with them? Did you have any problems? I hear they are bad for canceling flights at the last minute

I fly Ryan Air all the time, though not yet made it to Gdańsk. So far, so good - never had any problems.

You could also try Wizz - I think that they also fly to Gdańsk.

I flew with them a couple of times, including from Gdansk. I cannot say a bad word about them although their planes are not as nice as those of wizzair. When it comes to cancelling flights at the last minute i doubt it could happen in Gdansk, they are usually flying full over there.

I flew from Dublin, Ireland to Gdańsk with no problems. The only thing I was not used to was that they had no assigned seats, or boarding by certain groups. So, the line was waiting outside the departing gates en mass.

Still, all was fine. I had a flight back to Dublin through Centralwings, but they went charter-only, and my flight was cancelled. I would not have known, if friends had not alerted me before my trip saving me the trouble of a nasty surprise at the airport in Poland.

Rearranged a flight with SAS to Denmark and then Dublin. I should have rebooked with Ryanair, but they had no flight back to Dublin the day I needed it. Duh.....I could have gone to London first with Ryanair, and then to Dublin.

All-in-all a great trip and I got to see a bit of Denmark. :-)

Watch out for their luggage restrictions . I its only 15 kg, one have to pay extra can't remember how much but it wasn't cheap.
My ticket cost 35 euro for myself and my luggage 45 Euro and if I had not re-packed my suitcase at the airport I would have to pay extra.
In the end wizzair is much better !

It seems so, and without providing much help for the stranded passengers...

The source is the Daily Record. It's only appeared there and in the 9 am briefing at my paper.
