I'd go for Pieniny or Bieszczady :).

Check out a town called Zywiec. I went there and was impressed. There is a pension there which overlooks the lake and mountains. Superb!!

There are many many marked treks up the mountains.
Try Walking up the Beskid mountains or Recommendations for Zakopane.
