non EU traveling in EU with D visa

hi

i have a D visa and working in Krakow for almost 5 months now, I am from india.
Is there any alternative document with which i can travel in the EU countries without a new visa from every country i intend to visit?
i applied for a residence permit. and i have it. its got a Nr PESEL. but its in Polish.
i would really appreciate any help/suggestion.
