Skiing - Slovakia or Poland?

Hey,

I'm trying to organise a ski trip for this winter but I don't know whether I should go to Slovakia or Poland. I've been told that polish resorts like Zakopane are over crowded in January and that you must wait in long queues for ski lifts.

What are the pros and cons, and which would you recommend Slovakia or Poland?

We go to Strbske Pleso in Slovakia each year as the slopes are longer and it has better snow and it's only one and a half hours drive from Zakopane. LINK

lol with respect it's not the sort of place you are going to pop away for the weekend:)
Perhaps Osama bin Laden has a ski instructor or two he could recommend as I heard he is in Pakistan :)

Here we are,
I have been finding my skiing legs last winter, after not having skiied for a few years.
I went to URL, if you go to camera you can see the conditions, so no surprises.
And in białka there are about 15 different slopes maybe more and they have modernised. I go there to avoid the crowds of Zakopane.

Anyone know where the longest slope is in Slovakia (with a lift)?

I recommend you come to my village and choose from two smaller local Ski areas. No tourists, no mess. For more info, just ask. Cheers!

I highly recommend Slovakia. For the best ski resorts see slovak-republic.org/ski/.
