Zakopane has excellent night life and restaurants, better start praying for some snow though as its a bit scarce at the moment.

Doesn't look to bad check out http://www.snow-forecast.com/resorts/Zakopane

Theres a front coming in from the North from Monday so you should see a mild snow fall then.

I went boarding in the Czech Republic in early December and ive boarded in most conditions but never torential rain. Good fun though

You can checkout the webcams here: webcam.deili.info/en,1,1,66 and although some of the snow is melting around the slopes there is still enough for skiing.

Thread attached on merging:
Off to Zakopane

Hi Guys me and my girlfriend are off to Poland for two weeks hols. Spending a week in Zakopane and a week in Gdansk with her parents. Anybody got any recommendations for things to do whilst in Zakopane. Any good pubs, clubs, restaurants etc. Obviously there's plenty of mountains to climb.

Thanks for any tips

Steve

Stara Izba is a nice traditional restaruant on Krupowski street, which is where you will find the main drag of bars etc. There were no clubs open when I was there, but I think they are mainly open from Thursday to Saturday. Mountains are great.. all the trails are easily posted and you can get lots of info. from wherever you are staying. Get a map if you are planning on doing serious hiking. Vodka is only £4 a bottle.. enjoy!
