Where is the CELTA course available in Warsaw? Only at Bell School? Is it possible to take the course online?

ELS-Bell is the only place in Warsaw. The problem is that the course there is PLN 4,900, which is frankly too much money. A better option is to do it at IH Wroclaw (£729, i.e. PLN 3,600) or at IH Krakow (£749). I see absolutely no reason at all why ELS-Bell needs to charge 30% more for exact the same course.

Hello mayame,

I will be moving to Poland to start living with my fiancée. I'm doing the CELTA course at the Bell school in August. I have 3 years classroom experience training employees at a multinational company and private tutor experience. If you'd like to get in touch with me just give me a poke. :)

Regards

Yes, I agree they are too expensive. I looked into this program 3 years ago when I first moved here but the cost was prohibitive.

I agree. It just depends on what door you can open with it but so many people have it these days that competition is fierce.

It has been useful for me to have but the financial outlay is pretty darned high :(

What about an online TEFL course?

To me, a waste of time. As Bubba said, you gotta be in the classroom. What's the use of doing an online theatre play where you move the characters round? Teaching is a classroom activity and should be coupled with learning the theory on site. The CELTA is useful in that way. Intensive morning sessions (then learning, LOL), then into the classroom.
