English pre-schools in Poland?

Hi.

As it seems I might be getting a job offer to work in Poland, but the "problem" is that things aren't as simple for my girlfriend who when would be moving with me from Sweden.

She'll get a degree shortly as a teacher working with lower classes and pre-school. We're both Swedish but know English very well.

What I'm wondering is; are there any school in Warzaw that would be willing to employ people like her, not knowing any Polish (of course, learning Polish as time goes on).

Like English-only schools/pre-schools?

I appreciate all the help I can get.
Thanks.

Hi Kizo, i am no expert on this, but i have seen advertisements for pre-shools which seem to be done in english so maybe that might be something that she could look into. It probably depends on where you are going i.e. what city. I expect warsw would have more opportunities in this area.

Thank you Vincent!

As my job-offer is in Warzaw, that's the only place that matters.

Do you by chance happen to have the name of any of those schools?

Thank you.

Don't bother with them: they only accept US certified teachers.

Try the British School of Warsaw, the American International School of Warsaw, St. Paul's British School (but be careful with that one), and the European International School of Warsaw (although that might be the International European School of Warsaw).

Alternatively she could try teaching English as a foreign language. It's always hard for language schools to get teachers for the lower age groups.

we live in Lomianki and there is the excellent english speaking treehosue nursery - easy to google. The international schools are all very expensive, but the standard of childcare is by no means guaranteed there. Its better to go for the best Polish preschool around so that your kids get another language, while you can speak to them in English at home.
