erasmus in olsztyn 2009/10

Hello people, my name's Giorgio, I'm 24 and I'm leaving Italy in september to study in Olsztyn for 10 months. I'd like to know more about life in Olsztyn, city, people, language, clubs, food, drinks etc... You know, always the same things you ask before you are leaving for a long journey!
I'm gonna live in a campus called Kortowo which seems very nice, welcoming and cheap, 80 euros per month with all mod cons. I'm studyng law and this is gonna be my last year (it is hoped). I'm very open minded guy. For my scholarship I could choose a place between Spain, France, Poland, Germany. I opted for Poland cause it's undiscovered place for me yet, and I wanna be as far as possible from Italy and Italian influences. I love snow too and i guess Olsztyn it's very cold in winter....

First of all you can use the search function on this forum, typing Olsztyn you'll find a few threads about the city.
You can also make some general searches about Poland, for example:
cost of living
trains
etc.
