Job opportunities in Poland for a foreigner? (other than a teacher)

Have people thought about contact UK companies that have branches in Poland and or recruitment and real estate companies. Intel in Gdansk is recruiting, check out BP or BAT any major multinationals.

Seeking energetic native speakers of English from the E.U. ONLY to teach adults in southern Poland CALLAN METHOD

hi there, this is really funny i am british and my girlfriend is a native polish woman she has lived in paignton in devon for two years and has had enough of living here, she comes from rzeszow (hour away from) we have just returned from poland a month ago and again have come to the conclusion that we want to return to poland but like you i am not a speaker of polish and do find it difficult to speak their language, aneta really wants to go back and i dont want to lose her so i really do not have any choice so i am going to relocate and we are going to make a go of things, its funny, name a few things that you dont find in poland? english people, many jobs, but it is a much nicer place to be and the people are really friendly and welcoming, please if you can would you be able to contact me, my name is Adam im 31

Hi I have just moved to Poland about 10 months ago and I am trying to find a job in Bielsko-Biala. I cannot speak polish. I tried a job as a teacher (native speaker of english) and found it very scary- stood infront of a class of teenagers. I have more administration experience and would prefer employment in a company. I was quite interested in what one person suggested which was proof-reading. How do I find out more

Hi Vix,

Just wandered about your circumstances. Did you initially go to Poland 10 months ago to teach english? Why Bielsko-Biala? I am thinking along the same lines as you, try and find a company rather than the teaching route.

I did not come to Poland to teach because I am not a teacher-I was a Clerical Officer in a hospital in England. I have family around Bielsko-Biala

Thought that might be the case.

I am an Office Manager in the UK with a lot of family in Poland too, I thought about the teaching route, but like you I am looking to just find a company to work for, but its not easy. Do you find being in Poland itself makes it easier to find opportunities?

mmm, i could learn basic polsih and teach english so? :P and im a trainee accountant with a business degree! lol

oh i wish i could make a life in there, support a home and family. its very expensive here in ireland.

No not really. I did come with my parent but unfortunately they died within the past year so I am trying to start a new life. I usually look on the internet for ideas

yea i use the internet too. I am earning below average industrial wage in ireland and live with parents at the moment (i am 24) I am nearly finished my degree in Business and half way with my proffessional Accountancy (ACCA accaglobal.com for interested parties)

I just really want to raise a family with my girlfriend, living in a beautiful place (not meaning big house, but a lovely part of the world)

is it so much to ask?

I know the feeling about trying to start a new life, thats my main objective, in Poland hopefully.

Yeah, I surf the internet everyday looking for a break, best chance I see is trying to find an international company.

What do you to keep yourself busy each day?

To keep myself busy - I have a new house - which requires quite a bit of work but I also keep an eye out for any jobs that may arise - I want to go out to work

I work in the communications field and have for 30 years. I work on all kinds of daxes and have experience in satalite as well. I currently work with a large company in the united states but want to move to Poland. My wife is from there and she is a nurse.
Does any one know if we would be alble to get a job in those fields????

i'm lebanese holder of a german MBA degree , have a banking experience,speaks 5 languages and intending to move to poland to continue my studies at SGH , i'm going for a executive finance master degree. what r my chances to find a decent job after 2 years in poland?

how is the export and import or cargo business in poland? right now im working for an Air line representative company ( cargo related). and we are thinking of opening a branch in poland.

I understand your dilemma. I myself am half Polish half British and often can't make up my mind where I want to be.
Re. looking for a job - would you be interested in a relatively well paid job with an international corporation, doing technical writing - basically writing manuals for users of specific computer applications. We are looking for:
- native English speakers (or close to native level)
- computer-literate or a bit more than just literate, knowledge of networking concepts an asset,
- willing to re-locate to or near Gdansk area
- some knowledge of Polish a definite asset but not a must.
If you are interested, I will send you more details. Definite advantages of this job would be that work practices and the general atmosphere are that of a Western company.

czesc wojtek, i am from England but my wife is from Gdansk and we both want to move to Gdansk with our 3 year old daughter, we have all our Polish family living there.
I dont speak much Polish but am learning, i can speak broken Polish.

Hi I'm Bankole muritala from Nigeria ,i came to Poland about 4 months Ago ,i dont speak polish but speaking English fluently and life isn't easy at all, i lived in warsaw with my girlfriend hoping to get married soon though she's the one taken responsiblity of my life and hers too,I'm feeling too poor about this cos cos i'm not a man enough not to take care of myself talking less of my home,Pls can i anyone helped me out cos i'm looking for Job in any part of warsaw.

My little polish girlfriend ( soon to be wife ) is itching to get back to her way of life and it
reminds me just how different 3000 miles can make between east and west, i myself love poland and if i could invent a earpiece that would act as instant translator then all
my troubles would be solved, though i think sometimes my girlfriend wouldnt speak so much in her native tounge if she knew that i could understand what she was saying to
her girlfrinds who are mostly laughing whilst looking at me!!!

Hi! I read a lot about british, but I'm italian and I'm looking for job opportunities in Krakow, Warsawa or Czestochowa (my wife is from Czesto). Are there companies interested in italian language and/or abilities in environmental monitoring, EMS (environmental management system - EMAS, ISO14001), protected area management?

In England we have 600,000 Polish loking for work as there is nothing in Poland. If you are looking for work in Poland besides from teaching English I would imagine that there would be almost no openings unless you have some very special skill such as a famous footballer or an excellent chef but even then as a a teacher of English you willl need to be able to translate grammar and meaning so you will be a useless teacher without a knowledge of Polish. the Polish are very practicle and do almost all jobs themselves from mending shoes to building houses so your skill will need to be something really special. i think that on the whole we are a little spoilt in the West and are used to relying on other people-that is why we have plumbers who come to our homes and charge £80 call out fee to change a washer on a tap! No such chance of this in Poland.
