Average height of Polish women

Are Polish women on average taller than other European women?

I dont know, but my Babcia is 5'8. Her kids were 5'10-6'6.

Dinaric people (some serbs, crnogorci, croatians) are the tallest.

The Poles vary greatly in size and looks.
I'm 6ft 4in and I saw hundreds of beautiful women approaching the 6ft size I feel is perfect for me.
The heeled boots brought them to just below my eye level.

Yes.They are taller than average european women.
That is they are taller than french,italian,spanish,greek,english,irish,russian,romanian women.
They have the same height as german,austrian,norwegian women.
They are a bit shorter than czech,slovak women and a bit taller than ukrainian women.
They are definitely shorter than swedish and dutch women.

Average height is about 166 cm(161 in USA).

By personals and observation.

Over 170 cm when they're wearing high heels.

In Czech Republic 40% of women are over 170 cm.3% are over 180 cm.
In Ukraine 15% are over 170 cm,however in Kiev about 25% are over 170 cm.
In Poland I think 20-30% of women are over 170 cm,depending on the region.

With high heels on or without? ;)

haha our chinese women are not so high, if we were as high as polish women, we will be hard to get married, unless we are stars or models .

Depends on what shoes I'm wearing.

I am talking about height bare foot.The two tallest nations in Europe are of course the dutch and the swedish.The average dutch girl is 171 cm tall.(maybe in younger generation even 175 cm tall.).So more than 50% of dutch girls are taller than 170 cm.
I presented from my experience:
In Holland 50-60% of girls are over 170 cm.
In Sweden 40-50% of girls are over 170 cm.
In Czech Republic 35-40% of girls are over 170 cm.
Slovakia is like Czech Republic.
In Poland 20-30% of women are over 170 cm according to region.
In Ukraine 15-25% of women are over 170 cm with the exception of Kiev where 30-35% are over 170 cm.
In Belarus,Russia 15% of women are over 170 cm.

US height is low of course due to heavy proportion of spanish and asian minorities.
In USA for example only 3% of women population are over 175 cm while in Poland almost 10%(1 out of 10 girls) have this height.

The Polish Woman... Average height.... should be around 163cm per lady.

Ridiculous.Polish man is around 181 cm like german man,polish woman is about 166 cm.

Average height for women in mediteranean countries:162 cm.
Average height for women in slavic countries:165 cm.
Average height for women in germanic countries:167 cm.

no... the younger girls really want to be shorter... they do many girly things (i dont know... ancient therapy or etc) and I can see they are getting shorter. Atleast that is what my statistics confirm.... girls tend to want to be with within 165... or best below 160..!


If I see myself... then I might tend to agree... but there are others who are shorter... many others.

50% of Poles are above 180-181 cm,50% are shorter than 180 cm.Poles and Germans have the same height with the Poles in Poznan being taller than Germans in eastern Germany and Germans in north Germany(Hamburg,generally above Koblenz) being taller than average Poles but much taller than southern Germans.

Also people in Poznan are taller than people in Wroclaw and people in Krakow are also taller than Silesians but they are a bit shorter than people in Poznan.
Maybe it is because the Wroclaw population came from other regions with significant belarussian mix.

From my own experience, i'd say that Polish men are generally quite tall, and women are generally taller than in France (i think...).

It is too much.It is quite common height among women in Poland but not the average height.The mean height is 166 cm,that is half the polish women are taller than that.

Here you see a table of human height which confirms my observations.The Czechs are taller than the Germans and the French are the shortest germanics.

Im English and Im 171cm and I see English girls that are taller than me all the time.



None that I know, most are happy with their height because being tall isn't something to be ashamed of because it's the "norm"

But not 50% of english girls are taller than you.For example I guess that you were the third or fourth tallest girl in your class if your class had 30 people.

I do know what you're getting at, in general we are not tall as a nation - the men certainly are not - av. height is 173 - 178 :(

I know.... I just told what I inspected... there is a latent wish...i saw in some girls....atleast in my home town.
