About 450 dollars per month. Well that's still better than minimum wage in most latin american countries. In the dominican republic, its about 150 dollars a month.

That's why alot of people from the US go there to retire. They can live well there with the money they get from their US pensions.

The average wage among polish immigrants in Ireland is 1500zl per week or 6000zl per month.

For polish people in the construction industry, the minimum wage is 500zl per day.

Thats true.

My partner who is Polish is self employed and makes about 1.5 times what I make per month, but she couldn't even get a job in a pizza shop in Poland.

She has said she is never going back (well unless we move there for a short while after we get married)

Well I'm an expat teacher and I'm clearing 2800 zl netto, Zus paid for by company. And I'm working 25hrs per week. So its not all doom and gloom for English teachers. The Poles are obviously gagging at the bit to learn English so it benefits all and sundry.

Also, how can anyone afford the Audi R8, which is advertised on some billboards.

Not everyone here is poor. In fact, there are a lot of wealthy people in Poland.

And a lot of these people realize that they wouldn't gain much by going abroad.

If they didn't have money, they wouldn't be making PL KILLER a wealthy man.

Ten or so covers with a 10zl tip each [a day] would bring a waiters wage up. It's not impossible.

In a good restaurant that would be 10% for one table.

Besides, I only gave an example. It could be twenty covers at 5zl.

I know. I was just showing that it could be done. If it were that easy, I'd be doing it.
