No she won't have to go back. There's a few pregnant Polish girls where I work. They'll have to stop working soon and they have no intention of going back. I don't know if this applies to migrants or not but she SHOULD receive child benefits, is able to get a house, everything paid for and even the bills by the government.

(if she is single)If she has been working long enough and has paid enough NI contributions she will be able to claim like anyone else in her position.

(If she has a partner) If her partner is working full time then it will be doubtful she will be able to claim anything other than child allowance (circa. £15) a week.

so you are telling me that they pay for her electric, gas and anyone other utilities? Never known anyone get that paid before! Then again I don't know anyone claiming benefits.

What I do know is, if this Polish girl hasn't paid enough NI contributions she will get jack sh*t and if she has a partner (living with her) she will get jack sh*t same as every other person in the UK in her position....

Yes...

I don't know the procedure but ShelleyS believe it or not she has everything paid for by the government.

because she is a single mother. The original question was about a Polish citizen and not single who had a baby in the UK.

Even still, she should still be entitled to child benefits in the UK. Perhaps not as much as a single parent is entitled to.
