Beer and syrup - tastes better!

I blame it on my recent trip to Poland and the Polish store nearby. Lately, I've been mixing my beer with cherry syrup (Wisnia Syrop Owocowy). For some reason, my Heineken taste better with it. I'm not trying to be girly or anything.

By the way, does cherry syrup and vodka (Zubrowka) taste good? I'll try to get the vodka this weekend. :)

yeah, Żubrówka is most ppopular with apple juice (not syrup), but beer in Poland used to be drunk rather with raspberry syrup, not cherry (IF adding any syrup).

I like beer with that raspberry syrup.. its the Polish equivalent of lager and black. Zubrowka is also nice with cranberry juice.. may not be traditional, but check it out.

Other 'exotic' concoctions I like are Kalimocho (red wine and coke) and Lager and fanta orange or lemon.

has anyone tried that new red guinness yet? not sure if its come out yet or not.

I know you aren't trying, but only girls are doing this.

I'm only playing, but this is how my gf and her friends like their beer ;)

They have this stuff called Zuberek. It's an apple syrup w/ cinnamon. tou put a small amt in the bottom of the shot and you can put some on the rim of the glass. If you don't want a full drink with the apple juice, you can use this Zuberek for just a shot. I'm not sure where you are, but it may be difficult to find. I purchased a bottle of Zubrowka and it was attached for a promo or sth.

I'm in Florida. I'll try to ask the Polish store owner if he can get me some of that. I did see apple syrup on his shelf. Come to think of it, maybe I'll try to make this shot for my friend's bachelor's party in a few weeks. Hehe.

It's not just regualr apple syrup. It's made especially for Zubrowka and it has some other stuff in it. I wouild try the standard apple syrup though...may be good.

I can't see why anyone would destroy a beer with syrup. Just drink juice if you want to be fruity :)

i think you should be able to drink beer however you like.. I saw my bf mixing beer and coke the other day, I thought it was strange, but it wasnt bad actually. I like the sound of the vanilla syrup, might try that. Has anyone tried crushed garlic in beer? its an acquired taste but not bad either

i drink my piwo z sok. i don't care what ppl say. I just tell them that i never say anything about what they put in their mouths, so what i put in mine should be of no concern for them.

I found Zubrowka and apple juice is so boring. so i mixed it up and experimented and came up with => Zubrowka, Malibu, cranberry vodka, pineapple juice, sprite, and some grenadine or blue Curacao is great. Never taste the booze, then it hits you.

Zubrowka with cherry and apple juice (tymbark) and sprite is good.

my new fave is Zoladkowy Gorzka with blackcurrant juice with some sprite.

My husband puts cherry syrup in his beer sometimes. He likes to sneak it into mine too... I dont mind either way. I find it tastes better in stronger imported beer, not this crappy american beer...ullgggg

Something's wrong with me, I think. I'm starting to actually get a little taste for watery American beer, like Miller. Perhaps I should see a psychiatrist.

We used to have raw egg yolk in lots of things when I was a kid. It was supposed to make us strong. My father used to wash it down with vodka. I really like it, but now I'm afraid to eat it - afraid of salmonella.

What you're talking about is different, people actualy drink it like that.
You warm up the beer in the pot and then add different herbs and spices.
Over here in Poland you can buy ready to use bags of spices to use for your beer and wine.

All this talk about beer and syrup, has tempted me to try it sometime.
Budweiser beer (althought not Polish) is now selling beer with clamato juice.
