On the subject of dodgy keepers, Bartosz Bialkowski of Southampton looks like a right flapper. I saw him when Southampton came down to Exeter City for a League Cup game at the start of the season and he managed to concede from a long throw-in which bounced over his head and seemed to go in off a City player who lay prostate on the ground!

Here's a clue, we have possibly the worst Polish goalkeeper (thankfully on loan to Inverness Caledonian Thistle :) Zbigniew Małkowski. If he is still on loan. Hopefully he's just gone...

This is a very difficult question in this moment in time. I am going to have to say Smolarek although he has lost his form sinCe the qualifying ROUNDS OF THE eUROPEAN CHAMPS.

Boniek, it was beyond a shadow of a doubt back in the day. He wasn't quite at Cruyff's level, let's just say that they were different.

The only players to come remotely close to him have been Smolarek and Żurawski. Then again, I must put my hands up and say that I'm not that well up on Polish football.

"horrific tackle" by Mcfarland?Utter rubbish!!have you actually seen footage of the
game in question? In no way does Mcfarland clog Lubanski,it's just an innocuous
tackle:sometimes in football players are hurt in perfectly legitimate challenges.
Have to agree with your Grandad about Lubanski:Poland's no.1 player...

I am planning on moving to Poland and hope to make a living out of coaching football as from what I can see there is nothing compared to what we have for youngsters in the UK

i think the balls seem to swerve a bit more than last season, and I think that is what happened here ..... having said that a goalkeeper of Boruc's class should really have done better!

Every goalie has a bad day now and again, and it will always make the headlines. A striker can miss 2 glaring sitters during a game, but it can be forgotten in ten minutes if the team wins.

The Holie Goalie is still one of the best in Europe, and it will be 4IAR this year.

NB: 4IAR = winning 4 championships in a row. Hail hail!

It seem that in the mad rush to get more cash each year out of a new 'official' match ball we do seem to get a few strange outcomes!

I was tempted to claim that Boruc had been in Scotland too long and had contracted 'Scottish Goalkeeper's disease". However, that would have layed open the recent howlers of James, Robinson, Carson to name but three English keepers.

very good point ..... just look at James for Portsmouth in midweek, and then he goes and saves a penalty; Carson has made a few howlers recently and was lucky not to push the ball into his own goal against Portsmouth this weekend!
Gomes for Tottenham against Fulham a couple of weeks ago :o)

For me, Boruc is one of the best keepers in the World ..... one or two mistakes every so often doesn't make you a bad goalkeeper .... it's not as if he makes gaffes every weekend !

Kuszczak is definitely my favourite player.

I reckon he should be the next goal keeper to wear the no.1 jersey after Edwin Van der Sar retires from Manchester United.

Anyone agree??

Smolarek has lost his form big time, Boruc has been underachieving probably because the SPL has bored him out a bit?

Blaszczykowski 'Kuba' is BY FAR our best player now. He is Poland's football future. Dortmund say he is irreplaceable right now and Liverpool apparently had a 15 million pound bid set for him (rumours).

I think he's just lost the plot. His personal life has been splashed across the tabloids more than once in recent weeks so it doesn't look like that is going well either. The trouble with Boruc is when he loses one goal he goes into a mood and flaps after that. Having said that, when John Rankin smashed a cracker from the edge of the centre circle on 7th Dec the commentators said it was a Boruc blunder that caused the goal. It wasn't, believe me, I watched it. They said that Rankin took a random shot, he was aiming for goal so he saw an opportunity and took a shot on goal in my book. Boruc would have been one lucky keeper to have stopped it. It wasn't a Boruc blunder at all but the media is so keen to paint it as one.

Boruc is going through a rough patch career-wise but in fact, Celtic are having a rough time at the moment.
