Binkowicz family

My Polish boyfriends surname is Binkowicz and I was wondering if anyone knew anything about this surname??

Binkowicz seems to be a polish jewish surname.
Its described in alist of jewish surnames from Grodno Province: Bialystok, Choroszcz and Podlaski towns.

Also in holocaust martyrs is Jedel Binkowicz named.
Khaim Binkowicz
Bernada Binkowicz.

Listed as Jewish surname in towns of Nadarzyn and Stawiszyn.

Nadarzyn is interesting as a place where Polish resistance fighters hid after the Warsaw uprising in 1943. The Battalion Zoska (Polish) and the AL Brigade (Jewish inmates rescued from the Gesiowka concentration camp by Zozka) continued to fight together against SS units. Few survived.

It is unlikely that any Jewish people are living in Stawiszyn.

Most of "Jewish" surnames I've seen are in fact Polish, German or Russian.

Thats correct.
Sadly Poland missed the rich jiddish culture.
In the old Poland, there maybee was 70 - 80 % polish the rest was ruthenian,lithauan,german and the polish jews.
