If I hear about a gay couple that adopted a child I swear I’m going to strip naked and dance my promiscuous dance in front of their house to the music of “Small town boy” and then we will see how tolerant the really are!!!

If you do that, be sure and post the pictures on the forum. :)

I wouldn't doubt it. My lesbian neighbors also adopted (Chinese baby) and there's a gay couple on my block also wanting to do the same thing.

I can't understand why no one can adopt a child from our own country. Poor kids.

i do not agree with parents being the same gender.. there are specific traits required to bring up children a man and a female have half each thats why the beauty of reproduction requires a man and woman.. howver much of science and technology you use the natuaral fact that a man and woman are needed cannot be disregarded...

is it better for a child to be raised by two adults of the same gender or one adult of either gender?

good question, you have found a root cause of a bigggggg problem... if people choose to have sex they should realise there is a consequence... a beautiful child.. there is no point saying stuff after people need to be responsible before.. so two people if different gender are better than one.. if there is circumstance then one good parent is better then 2 of the same

in today's age, if a kid has 2 adults to love and care for them, regardless of gender, they aint doing too bad

ur rite mate.. but what kind of up bringing will that child have.. the charachteristics of a male and female wont be present - the childs freedom of pure parenthood is being taken away from them.. the world isnt as bad as you are saying.. if we stap back a bit and take out all the excess baggae then the two parents surely will be pan and pani

if they have 2 adults who love and care for them then i guess they would have a loving caring upbringing... and if my gay friends are anything to go by, they would probably have a very fun childhood

pan and pani might be what nature intended in an ideal world... but... the world aint ideal... i argue that a child is better off with 2 parents in a solid relationship of the same gender than 1 parent struggling to cope...

Im not...twas Mr G's idea of a joke writing that (mental note to have a word with Mr G, next time he's on)

As for adoption I agree with Mr F, people should look at adopting children in their own country before they starting looking at cute chineese babies....As for Bubs point...I think that a child just deserves to be loved if that happens to be by two people who the same sex then thats fine by me, as I have stated here on the board, I have two gay (male) friends who foster children and are doing a sterling job in doing so, they give respite to parents that cannot cope with difficult children and they give stability and love to the children they foster - their sexuality has not bearing on this and the kids they foster dont seem to care one way or the other.

idealy this might be best for all... but adopting isnt always a straight forward process in many countries, rightly or wrongly...

how about white english parents adopting a black english child... how does this come into the equation...?

adoption is a difficult and controversial subject for many

Ideally; and this is probably my personal point of view, I think children should be placed with parents of the same ethinic background but if that's not possible due to the lack of people wanting to adopt then I again I think that a loving home is the most important thing.

My point on "cute chinese babies" was aimed at the new fashion accessory of the stars who seem to think that it's "cool" to have an ethnic child, there are children in the UK and US who are just as in need for a loving home as those in foreign countries, abuse and poverty is prevalent in both countries and children suffer, but this seems to be overlooked.

I thought that the gay pride march in Poland was abit over the top - although that might sound abit of a suprise, hearing that from me,but thats what i thought.

When i seen it on BBC news 24,i have to admit i cringed and thought "you bunch of arseholes" talk about fanning the flames - even i wouldnt do that !!

Make a protest by all means - but they were being so provocative and i felt that march caused more damage to a very intolerant country (no offense meant).

The way that gay pride march was conducted was an embarrassment.

I am truly sickened by the homophobic attitudes of some members here.. being gay is not a lifestyle choice.. and if you are, then why shouldnt you feel free to express it any way you choose and to adopt children and have the same freedom and rights that heterosexuals enjoy. I know that Im being idealistic to think everyone will agree with me, but thats my opinion., like it or not.. I'm not gay but I believe in equality for all, regardless of your nationality, skin colour or sexual preference. Perhaps if we lived in a more tolerant society there wouldnt be so many problems.

I agree Saphire, But that march gave the impression that all gays including myself, puts across how gays behave".... it just fuelled the homophodes.

I just felt they rammed it down peoples throats abit and it made people feel uncomfortable.

I think that is the case with quite a few of the gays(not allof them,I know). In one of my jobs there was a gay guy who used to sit at the lunch table and tell us all about gay sex acts that he liked to do with his boyfriend. It was sick, however when someone complained we were called homophobes. Another gay person in my previous job liked to kiss his boyfriend in the office when someone walked in and also liked to comment on males rears. I found this strange behaviour because if a male did this to a women they would probably lose their job.

You see i couldnt discuss something like that in a place where different types of people with temperments and attitudes are present .....but some gay guys do.

If its talked about and if your comfortable with it then, thats ok.
