wouldn't say that slavery was main income of the country, at that time we had much to export and the importation of goods such as raw cotton and silk were in high demand, hence the reason we had so many factories weaving these raw materials ready for sale around the world.

I'm sure they aren't the slaves, just scholarship for black ppl to save them from povery country and show them developed Kingdom! Those, like you called them ugly-slaves, (how could you?), were so happy and grateful to GB for this educational trip and the oportunity of work in GREAT Kingdom.

In terms of greatest trading nations, then I would say obviously the United States is the greatest, with California occupying a large chunk of that.

Then comes China, then Japan.

Then Germany, and the UK would certainly be in the top 12.

But who knows, Poland, Ireland, India etc. many countries may also have been superpowers if they hadn't been plundered for their neighbour's.

I see from your profile you are living in a country with such a terrible reputation

I was born here - not rich enough to move.

The industrial revolution happened very quickly but we always had these things to export. Where did the money come from to build factories - iron bridges - railways

Its definitely China my friend. More exports come out of China than any other country in the world.

They manufacture. Trading is buying goods and selling them on. It is not manufacturing. China's GDP was below that of the UK last year. Trading is based on proportion of GDP against import/export. I.e. how much of there GDP was earned by buying and selling on goods.

However, in exports..
In 2005, Germany was the biggest exporter in the world for the fourth year running .
internationaltrade.suite101.com/article.cfm/germany_s_trade_bud dies

The USA, as a proportion of its GDP or relative to its population is a very weak. Germany and Japan export something like 3 times as much per person. Britain exports 2.5 per person as the US. US imports 55% more than it exports

This is 2005 -

Germany still the export achiever

cnn.com/2005/BUSINESS/11/23/wto.germany.role/index.html?ere f=sitesearch

(CNN) -- Which of these three nations is the world's top exporter: China, Japan or the United States? The answer: none of the above.

World trade's quiet achiever is Germany, which regularly tops the export tables with its steady sales of industrial machinery, automobiles, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, advanced medical devices and information technology software and hardware.

You are such a loser. Here you are in country with the fourth biggest economy in the world on the back of 15years of continuous growth, the biggest increase in the UK economy for oner 200 years. What do you do? Winge and complain. Can't get a job? not surprising when you have ridiculous, worthless job spec. And in Birmingham of all places.

Whats the incoherent rant about 'scholarship for black people' and 'ugly-slaves'?

What the F*** are you talking about?

I've got nothing against Birmingham, its just not the place to get a good job never mind such a obscure one. London is the place for wacky job titles.

The concept of ladies and gentlemen was made illegal by equality. Woman wanted to be treated as equals to men, they have got it. There is no going back to special treatment because of a person's sex.
Act like a man and you will be treated as such.

Having said that I always treat women as courteously as I can, when they deserve it.

If you don't explain yourself properly then I will misunderstand. Try quoting what you are replying to more often and explain yourself better.

that was irony about it, I said that was a slavery not, like now, scholarships, but cleal slavery. Those time nobody thought like that about black ppl, so do not know why you attacking me? Involving in that my job. Just told on the forum, I earn 13-18 per hour, so try to understand the money are not my problem. and not I used term-ugly slave, so read carefully and later make a comment, ok???

Mag. I think your problem is the English language. It is sometimes difficult to know what you are really saying because of this. I am not criticising, this is just an observation from a Native English speaker.
