British Journalist seeks Polish people

Hi I'm a journalist researching a story about the exploitation of Polish workers at the hands of employers in Britain.
I am interested in Polish people who have lived in the Kent/Sussex area in particular.
Have you been promised a good job and accommodation and then been forced to live in your employers house at a very high rent, leaving you with very little wages.
Have you replaced the previous employees at a lower salary and worse conditions?
All correspondence will be treated in the most strict confidence.
You can contact me on my BBC email at david.mcgee@bbc.co.uk.

Thanks

David

whoa that's some extreme situations you're talking about here. if these Polish people are so poor, they won't have internet access i think!

Some people start at the bottom and work their way up, so it is possible.

My flatmate started working here with no National Insurance, paying no tax, for a dodgy agency boss always paid everyone late. Now he works for a decent employer who helped to sort out his status in this country and he's paid enough to spend money on frivilous stuff and to play on the internet with his laptop computer (when he's not out drinking).

get your flatmate to tell his story then! he sounds like somebody who might be useful for this documentary.

I'll suggest it.

If this journalist is, as I suspect, after the worst cases, his story won't be the most journalistically juicy one - I have heard of far worse. I'd prefer a little more balance in some of these reportings - yes, these stories are there to tell us of some of the terrible things that happen, but worst cases reported in the media do have an effect on those who see, hear or read them, sometimes portraying not only victims of such events in a bad light, but also of entire nationalities and so on.

Also, this is not in Sussex or Kent.

If you provide a link to some of your previous work... so we know who you are... you might get some serious replies.
