British moved to POLAND on BBC tonight

Tonight on BBC1 michael palin talks to british people who have moved to Poland :) it is on at 9pm if anyone is interested in watching it.

will let you know Giles if you arent watching ... me and my little one will be sat together watching it ... from the magazine piece written features Gdansk (Bubba it aint you on the telly is it now ... lol)

visiting Auschwitz ... Czestochowa and Warsawa

its an hour long in length and journeys through poland (maybe he goes PKP lmao)

well just watched the programme ... personally i thought it was a well rounded insight into Poland covering Gdansk .. Elblag .. Warszawa .. Poznan .. Krakow and a mountain village

My daughter found it quite interesting and asked many questions was particularly bemused by the Elblag canal when it left the water and went across land ... and asked many other questions along the way. Especially with the lowness of the platforms and the station without a platform lol.

Lech Wałęsa was first person spoken to and he quoted Churchill and wanted to read his papers.
The only british person was a person who came over and became a fireman and a person on a tv morning show in Poland ....

... but i found it very insight and enlightening :)

the two people are one and the same .... the British guy called Kevin became a firemen ... and also a tv personality ! :o)

i wish they had showed a bit more about Krakow ..... but enjoyed watching the Wieliczka salt mines ..... i've been there and think it's absolutely amazing .... the chapel made out of salt !

i got rather giddy at that bit as i have been there and remember getting dizzy at the bottom of all those stairs when you got to the first level ....

This lad is a thicko and I feel to see why Poles find he has anything to offer. An embarassment to us English IMO

poland is a beutiful country and there are many peopel who moved here becasue of its culture, lifestyle, there will be many more people moving and programmes like this are excellent for th epromotion of benefits in our country
