Yeah, but unfortunately it's only going to boost China's economy. This will just delay a recession.

We cant just treat the symptoms, but cure the root cause.

You both make good points. Unfortunately I think there are far too many people in America these days who after years of being promised the same by their politicians (or in the case of the umpteen millions of illegal immigrants entering from primarily the southern border annually, their friends...) have come to expect a free ride.
This is why American manufacturers go out of business because they cannot produce products for the same prices as they are made in China, which does not have to pay its workers the same if at all- I saw a very revealing program awhile back which was pretty damning against WalMart, for instance, which showed how it worked hand in hand with the Chinese, and could put a television set ON THE SHELF IN THE STORE for sale, for less than an American manufacturer could legally buy the materials to make it. Combine the two (people wanting something for nothing, and refusing to pay a fair price-people just don't like thinking that 12 year old girls are making their sneakers for $0.12 per hour...) and it is a huge burden on the rest of us who more and more start to wonder why we work day in and day out to pay for these losers....
sorry...off my soapbox now...

Bushes are just a tiny part of the economy - but their trade does usually suggest affluence or a good level of activity in the housing market. Not just bushes, but trees, herbaceous perennials, ornamental grasses, even water plants.

Nothing to do with Bush's attempts to do anything - he knows bugger all about horticulture.

Would you think the IRS will deduct $1200 of the the money I supposely owe them..lol

Bush is a joke and this feeble attempt to boost the economy will only make the oil companies and China richer.

Thanks China for those lead based toys and the killer pet food.

And thanks Bush for selling out the country

Actually, Sledz, I owed the govt. back when we got the last "gift" from them, and they just deducted what I was to receive from what I owed.

I was considering pros and cons of the Fair Tax, proposed by Huckabee and Paul. It accrued to me that in the age of the global market, where there is 0 taxes on foreign products, the Fair Tax would help level the chances for products made in the USA. Think about it - in the price of each product made here are hidden income taxes the employer has to pay for the employee. Now with the income tax eliminated and replaced by a 30% sales tax, product made in China has an equal burden with the U.S. made product.

WRT fair tax, I agree.
As far as "Bush selling out the country" It was already sold by Carter and Clinton before he even had the chance...who do you think gave away the Panama canal? Why do you think Iran is not an ally (hint-bungling by a former US president) Who do you reckon gave China back most favored nation trade status, and signed orders giving China the entire US patent data base, including patents applied for? Yep, Clinton....
Guess who decided it was a good idea to combine the US, Mexican, and Canadian economies without enforcing across the board similarity in regulations? Yep, Bush Sr and Clinton...
So while Bush has a lot of issues, he can't take all the credit here. Much of what we are feeling now predates him.

nope.. it's US meddling in their affairs for many years preceeding 78 that did the relationship in.

OMG yep there is no law but if u don't pay they will garnish ur wages and u can go to jail ur one of those misinformed idiots i can't even argue with u omgah.

irstaxattorney.com/lpage/back-taxes.html

just in case u don't want to read it here u go

For those who do not know, the “willful” failure to file a tax return could send you to jail for up to 5 years. If you file your tax returns voluntarily, no matter how late you file them, you will eliminate any possibility of going to jail for not filing your tax returns. There is very strong congressional tax policy encouraging taxpayers to file all tax returns. Nobody is prosecuted if tax returns are voluntarily filed, no matter how many years they have not been filed. For example, if a person has not filed tax returns for the past 10 years but decided to file all tax returns for all unfiled years, the IRS and the Department of Justice will not prosecute that person. No case can be brought against a taxpayer for the “willful failure to file” a tax return after the taxpayer has voluntarily filed tax returns for all unfiled years.

Even with this POV, it STILL predates Bush jr.

I'm not referring to one party or the other. It predates Bush jr, and FWIW Clinton asked them to do it. That was the days when congress and the president weren't both trying to rule the country each in spite of the other...

WRT the travesty at the US border and not-so-secret attempts to turn US, Canada, and Mexico into some sort of bastardized, poor version of the EU, I agree completely. It is one of the points where I vehemently oppose both the President and our current Congress, as they are all for it.
I have no taste for globalists, but it appears that anyone who is not a globalist strangely gets little or no media coverage-and if he/she does, is branded "A favorite of the evangelical right" or some such (as if they had any clue why people vote--hint-most folks don't go to church to ask who they should vote for...)

The big financiers can bail America out at any time. The sizeable national debt can be written off with ease by the Zionist factions.

Republicans run up the national debt, Dems pay it down.
Isn't that how it usually goes?

Bush's back has been covered alot from the beginning! Remember the uncounted black votes in Florida? At the time his brother was governor of that state!!!! His family has friends in high places everywhere. Bush is just a puppet. The scary part is we don't know who the puppetier is!

Exactly. America simply can't stay the world’s economic hegemon but with things like this one, you may think that they are going to fall down much lower than this is necessary.

If you elect an "oil barron" Pres, then the oil companies will be very rich.

If said oil barron then appoints an "arms dealer" Vice Pres, you then have war. That takes Clinton's very healthy "in the black" economy to your current Bush/Cheney trillion $ deficit. It's not rocket science!
