Are there many clothing companies in Poland? I would love to see Polish made clothing, sweaters, etc, in the USA!! As I took my girls shopping at JC Pennys the other day, I looked at all the tags to see where the clothing was coming from and ''wished there was clothing from Poland on the racks to buy!!'' talk to me folks and if you can solve this problem ''so I can buy clothing from Poland in the USA stores.'' I would be one happy woman:) :)

Many companies are finding it easier to outsource into eastern and central europe instead of Asia, so in the future we will see many "Made in Poland" or "Made in Romania" tags on clothing and toys. Another bonus for those countries are that they "feel more at home" with their" European brethren"

I read that right off a news page in school once. I thought it was pretty interesting.

oops a button was hit before i was done...I checked out re- reserved.com. there is some really pretty stuff!! I would really like to see Polish businesses grow!!!Poland and Polish people are capable of big business!!(there was question about that on another thread) clothing is the first thing I think of as far as any business goes and I would certainly buy them from you. Be it bringing your own stores to America or just clothing shipped and distrbuted to different already established stores in the USA.

quite a few of the Polish brands (Diverse, Big Star, Reserved, etc) have their clothes made in China, just like anyone else...

Isn't a sweatshop a sweatshop, wherever in the world it is?! Why do you want to support Polish sweatshops in particular??

Good point - I've never seen a Mexx store in the US, however it is owned by the same co as Liz Claibourne.

Complete tangent, but I love Mexx.... directional without being too trendy, well made and value for money.

Lodz is the capital of Polish fashion (at least production). Some said "Big Star" is Polish, but I'm not sure about that..
