Why have they built another huge shopping centre in Lodz?

I just went to the opening of Port, the newest shopping centre in Lodz. It was not completed but about 70% of the shops were. but...... This is the 3rd large shopping centre in Lodz, Manufaktura and Galeria. Most polish people in these places seem to only window shop, why keep building more when the roads and airport are so bad?

i was actually wondering the same....they could have invested somewhere else.....atleast it's good they are all in different areas....

Someone is buying, or else these places wouldn't be able to pay rent.

How much money can a private investor make putting money into roads? Quite a bit of money has been dumped into the airport. Expect more to go in soon.

Just out of curiosity, do you know how the flights to Warsaw and Vienna are doing? Are those pringles cans full?

Then again, there's that scheduled service from Zielona Gora-Poznan-Bydgoszcz and another from Poznan-Szczecin, so...I guess someone must be flying!

delphiandomine: There's a flight from Lodz to Warsaw? What on earth is the point?! The company has code share agreements with LOT, it's for people connecting in Warsaw. It's the same airline that is flying the Zielona Gora and Bygoszcz routes.
