Hi my friend.

Opening a business in Poland is quite a task, I am going through the process now. The best advice I can give you is you MUST get professional help. There are many steps to opening a business in Poland and they ALL must be made in the correct order, there are no short cuts what so ever. Make sure your business plan is water tight and 100% solid as the running costs of owning a business in Poland is quite high, and the costs and taxes are paid monthly, and from the date your business is registered, even if your business has no income. I was told the easiest way to start a business is to BUY an established business that is already registered and trading. BUT do get professional help.

Suppliers will be no problem at all: there are lots of Indian restaurants in Warsaw, at least ten and more opening every month. If they can get what they need here, I'm sure you can too.

Hello,

Spent quite a lot of time working in Warsaw this year and tried quite a few indian resterants, and to be fair I was not impressed. Only one which I tried had what I would call good indian food, and even there the service was poor.

Not sure of the area you are in, but I would suspect a "good" indian resterant would go down very well. I personally feel a more traditional style would be nice, as most seem to go down the modern route.

Education is light. You missed it, and oneday you will surely regret. Is your wife polish? ... how could she let you quit your studies?

I wish good luck to you for your business. But dont get cheated. Do something which you know well! Dont ever rely on anyone, no matter how good they are. Thats all I want to say!

he can help with the contacts to suppliers...for some reason, I don't think he'll have a problem giving contacts for a non competing restaurant hundreds of kms away :)

I'll tell the secret, keep it clean, use quality ingredients, provide good service. Stick to that, and it'll work. Go after the easy money, and the margins won't be large enough to sustain it in the long run.

think about offering catering services for business meetings/conferences. you do not need to have any premises other than your home kitchen. that way you get the business people of Rzeszow to sample your food without you having to fork out renting restaurant space.
see if you cannot do a deal with a hotel where you use their kitchen space to reheat the food you have earlier prepared, as long as the hotel is providing the conference space, they may be agreeable as hotels as they are not so busy for lunch.

remember you are cooking for the Polish market but don't take out all the spices from the dishes and expect to receive racist comments.

alternatively find a pub and offer to run some curry nights for them. test the market well before sinking all your life savings into a restaurant. Rzeszow might not be ready for Indian food yet.

Unfortunately this is absolutely not true. To make food that you sell to the general public you need a Sanepid-approved kitchen - two entrances, seperate areas for washing vegetables, eggs and plates, a certified dishwasher (not a domestic one), tiled walls etc etc. You and anyone working in the kitchen also need to have a valid Karta Zdrowia. It's a bureaucratic nightmare.

the pub idea would work better

sinking all your money into a niche restaurant without testing the local market is madness

I think it depends where the prep work was done. Using semi-prepared ingredients cuts down on the amount of bureaucracy (which is why all these zapiekanka/grill stands manage to operate) but usually cuts down on quality. A friend of mine is a caterer and she can finish dishes off (i.e. bake or cook it) at her client's house but to comply with the law, all the prep has to be done in an approved kitchen and has to be transported in washable containers (the kitchen has to have a seperate area for washing them) in a car with a washable interior/compartment. Even for a private party. It's nuts.

Dear Sir,

I would like introduce you myself as India chief Punjab based special in Indian dishes. I have great experience of cooking I know well vegetarian and non vegetarian dishes. I have worked in Senegal and I was cooking there for a surgical company team. I have good recopies to make the food more tasty and crisp with good flavor. • Fish Pakora , fish fry, Fish with stuff south Indian
• Mutton gravy and soft

Shakes:-
• Badam Shake

That's an excellent idea my friend. Although I am from Ireland I have many polish mates here in Ireland. They love indian cuisine in Poland and you should MOVE THERE WITH YOUR FAMILY. N.B. Don't be put off by the od racist on here. They are not representative of the vast majority of Polish people :-) Good luck in Poland!!!!!!!1
