I really, really want to like Millennium Bank but they are making it so hard! They have this beautiful website in English and it looked like a good choice for an online bank. But noooooo... Once you sign up, the entire functional website is in Polish!!! I can't understand hardly anything and it is so difficult to use Google translate to figure it out! I'm trying hard to learn Polish but I really, really, really thought this would be one place I wouldn't have to struggle so much. AS IF.

Did you not ask the bank before you opened an account if the internet banking was available in English? Seems strange that it is not anyway, sounds like your missing a click somewhere.

Internet banking is completely in English. Even the investment products sections are in English, with English instructions on how to use the products...

You're definately doing something wrong...

It's done some basic level browser-sniffing and determined you're Polish. Buy your PC in PL, perhaps? Look for a Polish flag icon or the words 'język' or 'ustawienia językowe', that should allow you to change it.

Login with the following link:

Alternatively, just click on the "English" link at the top of the page.

Erin, they are not the best bank in the world but you are letting your settings default to Polish. If you choose English, you will get complete lists in English. I understand the Polish terms but naturally choose to use the English language version.

If it defaults back to Polish, reclick and everything should be ok.

That's strange because I use the Millennium Bank in English with no problems and have done for the last four years.

The thing is that once I log on with my Millekod, I couldn't find a link for English. There is before I log in but then I get nothing. I looked everywhere and I'm VERY computer literate and capable. Yes, I was feeling a bit like an idiot but after I clicked on everything available I found a 'profile' page where I could finally choose English. It's just not exactly intuitive considering that I log in from English.

Thanks for your help.

It's working fine with me. I pressed English before inserting the Millekod and, after typing in my security details, everything was laid out in English.

Check your Region and Language setting, in Control Panel
or browser setting if using IE and change the language to English

That has nothing to do with it, as that doesn't change webpages (well, not in the way you are thinking), just regional settings relating to the input of MS word characters and local time.

My only problem is that their online stuff doesn't work with Google Chrome. Other than that, and some dubious content in their mortgage contracts, they've been a fine bank for me, and I can always get English language service with them. Been with them for four years now without a hiccup.

Capital One Bank a.k.a. Chevyu Chase Bank.

I am loking for current and previous bank mortgage customers to come forward and contact me. I am a former employee of Capital One's Mortgage Loss Mitigation Department. I have a lot of interesting information on my sites.
