I have no motive right now for making this thread other than our neighbor has just given us 20 delicious chicken eggs, the eggs that these chickens produce use my land on a daily basis, eating our worms, namely utilising the resources our land provides in order to produce this totally superior natural product.

As the saying goes Egg is Eggs, ohh not its not these eggs are amasing.

Granted, it will take a while before eggs become cheaper in the supermarkets as everyone in the country seems to have a few chickens running around. What about other industries, big corporations pricing out the smaller guy? its already happening in Biedronka, Tesco and Auchen, there meat tastes like the familiar 'old army boot consistency' we've had in the UK for decades.

Another perfect example of consumerism destroying quality in the name of demand / supply, were so fcuked

All part of the great cyclical approach to life my friend. Tell you what why dont you eat chicken eggs from chickens that are fed on McDonalds waste for example and we will compare our health in 30 years time.

Menstrual cycle!! even better why dont you have a baby where your wife eats nothing but cheeseburgers and drinks coke for 9 months.

And often not produced in Poland. I used to teach private lessons to the owner of the "Real" chain of supermarkets. He told me that most of the time he has to import his meat products from Ukraine, Belarus ect because a lot of Polish meat is exported to Europe's western countries.

I guess time will tell. I doubt it though since Poles don't change their eating habits that fast.

Btw- did you know that rising chicken has had its come back in the USA?

It depends how you cook it. Supermarkets sell the meat a little too quickly - if you buy beef, it's a good idea to let it stand for a few days.

In general though, meat in Poland is far lower quality than in the UK.

Raising* It has also came back in the UK, even pigs are beginning to become popular.

Yeah it cost a lot, there is a company that sells a thing called an egglue for about £500, they are branching out into bee keeping equipment all for the back garden.
No one has told the customers that with chickens come rats, it's unavoidable, and ruinously expensive. WB is correct the eggs taste so much better from a sustainable source with content hens.

What would be good in Poland would be the introduction of local co-operative distilleries. Local people bring their fruit and get a percentage of it back as alcohol, it works very well in Germany and France. Doing this gives a value to fruit trees, helping to preserve the local countryside, doesn’t cost anything and provides some local jobs. There is also the possibility that "specialist brands" can develop helping to market the local area.

Not quite. If you keep ur coop clean there will be no rats. Gran kept chickens, ducks, geese and a mad goat on the farm most of her life, not one rat did anyone come across. Though she did keep a bucket of eggs under the sink and nobody could quite tell how long the eggs had been in there. My uncles swear it was the cause of many instances of the squirts lol :D

Lets not talk beef with regard to Poland, we all know beef taste sucks in Poland its also tough as old army boots, let it stand! dont you mean hang? Ive never gotten to the bottom of the hanging procedure, or cured for that matter, smoked is obvious.

Speaking from a practical point of view meats good for a few days after the kill providing its kept at the correct temperature thus avoiding bacteria, how long can you actually hang it for? and how long should you hang for succulence?

I found some very good beef in a local meat shop a while ago, but that was very much a one off.

yep and then she could deliver it in a deluge of McDonald flavored diarrhea, a slimy blob of lard that could be deep-fried again and rebranded as Baby McNugget...

Ohh wait thats already happening, consumerism on a life or death scale, fcuk the death its all about profit.
