I would like to know Polish science technology which has been applied to industry or been products. Which specialised field of the technology is the most developed?

I think Polish Biotechnology is high grade and has been applied to improving species of creatures (animals). Do you know something else?

From my point of view: a blue laser.

A completely paralysed person can communicate with others through the eye movements read by computer programme.

Read about this and other innovations here:

A flying robot controlled by head movements that makes Full-HD movies, an infrared terminal that identifies people from the pattern of their veins, an intelligent pen to combat dyslexia, systems for controlling computers with the eyes and lips, a device for keeping the water in your swimming pool clean, bulletproof vests, ultra-sensitive cameras for astronomy-all these innovative products and technologies were on display at the Science for the Economy Show in Poznań in June. The show was part of the Innovations, Technologies, Machines Poland 2009 trade fair.

Do you mean Blue LED? Japanese company 日亜化学(Nichia) developed it and has patent. I do not think Poland has high technology for Blue LED.

Ohh!! Thanks!

I was impressed in this one
The Institute of Mathematical Machines exhibited its IMMVein terminal for infrared identification of people by the pattern of the veins on their hands, which is unique for each individual.

I've never heard this identification system using vein. Interesting!

Yeah, it's well know. I heard the biggest computer science university in EU is in Poland (Silezja...? I forgot). Polish computer science will be more developed in future, won't it.

As far as I know it is more complicated, polish scientists developed efficient way to produce some chemical which is base for blue laser technology. I'm not sure if they managed to apply/sell it into industry.

Sorry. It was my misunderstandings. Yes, I found some topics about blue semiconductor laser which was made under high-pressure conditions.

Moreover, I have met prof. Porowski :-p

Of course, I think, Blue laser is very important invention, and it has a potential to make new scientific field.

Advance science? Over-engineered or better to say, over-worked than the required. Today, most of these advanced sciences have been applied (read it as most money) in military technology, space industry, luxury industries like yachts, cars, etc. Just an example. Did you know that the most powerful computers have been used in air flow researches around the military planes? Also, very expansive laser technologies have been used in experimental analysis of these air flows around the wing and the body of high speed military aircrafts. Very expansive materials have been used in space researches. More than 50% of money (read as effort) are being spent for such things that have not been really useful.

Poland have medicine science and medicine industry, such as medicine equipments manufacturers?
