How much does the average pole have in cash savings?

Not much. I live from hand to mouth. Studying and part-time working. My current savings are about £250, heh

you should not have your savings in a bank. You should buy stuff you think will appreciate in value.

Yup, I'm gonna buy a beer six-pack. It will increase in value when temperature goes high :-)

In inflationary times... in deflationary times (no demand) as we are now, cash is king.
