Polish Information and Foreign Investment Agency (PAIiIZ) summed up American investments in Poland of 2010 and the 1st quarter of 2011. According to Iwona Chojnowska-Haponik, Director of PAIiIZ's Foreign Investment Department, American investments in Poland in 2010 are estimated as at least EUR 7.5 billion, while in the 1st quarter of 2011 this figure is 20 percent higher than that of the same period of the previous year.

She emphasised that while statistically 90 percent of foreign investments in Poland came from EU countries, this indicator might be misleading, since US companies were investing through their European subsidiaries registered mainly in the Netherlands or Luxembourg. The data presented by the Agency suggest that over 750 American enterprises are operating in Poland, and they employ almost 200 thousand people. American investments do not concentrate in major cities but they are quite evenly scattered all over Poland.
