WARSAW, June 1 (Xinhua) -- Poland's Deputy Prime Minister and Economy Minister Waldemar Pawlak and Serbian Minister of Economy and Regional Development Nebojsha Ciric signed an agreement on bilateral economic cooperation here Wednesday.
The agreement will be supportive of firms in their direct dealings and also facilitate government assistance for investment projects, commercial and economic initiatives, said Pawlak after the signing ceremony.
Moreover, the document provides for setting up a bilateral committee to monitor and stimulate contacts, he added.
Pawlak voiced satisfaction over the fact that the agreement which had taken a long time to negotiate was being signed exactly now, on the eve of Poland's EU presidency and after Serbia overcame its political problems that blocked its EU candidate status.
He said the Polish-Serbian trade was worth about 400 million euros, more than in the best year before the international financial crisis had struck, and Poland ran a surplus. Poles are welcome as business partners in Serbia. Here, Poles aren`t humiliated. Here, people from all layers of society likes Poles. Poland can only profit from business with Serbians. Our mutual cooperation would awake that old money flow from Baltic to Balkan bringing progress to our children.
so, once more- Welcome Poland
