The Russian company Intrall, which briefly had produced vans in Lublin several years ago, is returning to Poland.
The Lublin van, whose ownership has changed several times and inlcuded Intrall, is now beign produced by the Tymiński Family. (I wonder if they are related to Stan Tymiński who stood for the presidency v Wałęsa?)
As a Michiganian/Michignader with things automotive in the genes, I have always been interested also in Poland's auto industry. Since the beginning it has been plagued by politics, also under Piłsudski. http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2011-02-08/russian-car-maker-to-invest-i n-poland.html

WARSAW, Poland — Russian car maker Intrall Rus says it has signed a letter of intent to build a research center and small factory in northwestern Poland by 2014 for a total investment of euro270 million ($366 million).

The factory in Poland is to make up to 5,000 cars annually starting in 2014.

The announcement comes as Poland and Russia plan to intensify economic and scientific ties as a way of improving traditionally strained political relations.
