Umowa O Dzielo and ZUS

I am looking into paying ZUS. I understand the UK (where I'm from) has a bilateral agreement with Poland. I have been working as a native teacher for nearly 18 months at a private language school in the centre. I am getting used to the low standard of living and irregular hours. The most I have received net is just under 5k zl a month and the lowest 1.5k zl. I was wondering how you go about this as I am on umowa o dzielo and keep spanking money on the doctors here. Also the contributions count towards the UK pensions. I understand I can set up a company and pay the reduced rate for 2 years of around 330zl but after this it rockets to around 900zl. I live in Warsaw and do not receive accomodation in my package.

Merged: ZUS with umowa o dzielo

Hello
I have heard conflicting information regarding the issue of paying ZUS on an umowa o dzielo. Is it necessary? What is the rate?
I am also a British citizen and am not sure what bi-lateral agreements may be prevailing between the countries now.

It is not necessary if you work on umowa o dzielo and are not in an employment relationship, see Art. Paragraph 6. 1 point 4 and Article. 7 of the Act of 13 October 1998 on the Social Insurance system.

However, if you do go down that route, it's a good idea to arrange health care cover (as you will have no access to the state system).
